Animals don't exist for us to use. They exist for themselves. That's all the explanation needed. If we have to tell grown human adults about the USE of SOMEONE, not SOMETHING, then said human adult must end the lie that animals belong to them.
Animals are individuals who deserve respect. Not because they can be useful to us in any way – that's a sick way of thinking about it. Thinking about someone's life having value only when you can use them, treat them as a "resource", objectify them, violate their body autonomy, see them as a clown for your own entertainment, then you find "respect" for them. But have you ever thought, how wrong it is to bring someone into this world just to use them? Treat someone as a thing?
Non-vegans who are aware of what they're doing and who keep on doing it are sick. Sick with lack of acknowledgment and education, stripped away from the fact that they can, in fact, exist without using others. Human or not.

It's best to have 5 imperfect men who try to love their wifes than to have no men who aren't trying to stop the abuse. " No human in their right consciousness would ever say that, so why are you claiming that reduction of suffering will bring emancipation of animals closer?
