Emma: laced her fingers together with his, playing a little. The smile was on her lips still, even wider than before. "Good morning baby" the woman said with a soft tone in her voice, her eyes slowly closing when she felt his lips against her forehead. "Wait--" she looked at him. "We slept?" she teased him with a giggle. "Well, for the amount of time I slept, yes, I did" she replied.

Dave: "Hey, an hour still counts as sleep I'm pretty sure," Dave said, turning to look over his shoulder at the clock that sat on the hotel side table. "It was a pretty fun night, though, wasn't it? Can't really complain about the lack of sleep," Dave smirked, letting his thumb brush against the back of her hand and leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her lips.

Emma: needed that vacation so much. Things have been a bit weird lately but at the same time she felt herself calmer than ever before. Also, she needed some alone time with Dave, she was missing him so much lately. The party was great, they had a lot of fun together and the next morning found them in bed, her in his arms. Opening her eyes, the woman felt the warmth of his body against hers and she turned her head a little to look at him with a smile appearing on her lips.

Dave: had been thankful that he was able to get the time off of work to be able to come on this vacation with Emma. It had honestly been too long since they went on a vacation together and he was really looking forward to just hanging out and relaxing with his fiance. It was honestly one of the best New Years Eve parties he had experienced in a white now. Dave woke up the following morning when he felt the girl in his arms beginning to stir. "Morning, babe," he said in a sleepy voice, smiling down at her and pressing a kiss to her forehead. "How did you sleep?"

[text]: you being physically and mentally happy is better than your reputation, right? I’m very happy you’re in a good place. I love you and I just want you to be happy and healthy, no matter what that means.

Alison: wasn't sure what she should do, she knew she should leave but she thought that moving too quickly would be too awkward. She smiled slightly at his words. "You and me both." She chuckled. "Yeah, it's been fun so far, I was just getting a little hot in there so stepped out for some air, I should get back inside, it was nice to see you." Alison said giving him a small smile, going to the door and trying to get it open but it wouldn't budge.

Dave: "Yeah, likewise. I was just about to head out, but this place is so big I couldn't find the main exit, so I just came out here for some air first," he said with a half-hearted laugh. It was obvious that she was trying to get away from this awkward situation, but he didn't really blame her. He was trying to think of the same way. "Yeah... see you," he replied, nodding his head a bit. Dave looked out at the darkness and when he heard her struggling with the door, he turned around to see what she was doing. "Everything okay?"

Alison: Alison spent her life planning events and parties and normally when she was at them she had a clip board and an ear piece making sure everything went smoothly. She was excited to take a night off and relax. Especially since it was the first event that she got to be at with Joel with them having admitted they both had feelings for another. She was feeling good about herself and the night. Alison took her drink and told Joel she was going to stepping out onto the balcony. It was nice to get some fresh air. She found a small table with some chairs and took a seat, looking over the city, she couldn't really see much but it was still nice. "Oh, hey- Dave." Alison said, standing to her feet. "Enjoying the party?" She asked awkwardly.

Dave: Scratching the back of his head and clearing his throat a bit, Dave looked down at the ground awkwardly. While they could be cordial now, things were still a bit tense between them. "Yeah, it's a pretty interesting party. I guess I couldn't resist the temptation of the mystery," Dave explained a bit, trying to keep the conversation as unawkward as possible, even if it was just awkward small talk. "Uh, what about you? Are you having a good time?" the man asked in return.

Dave: Dave wasn't entirely sure as to why he came to this party. He didn't really know anyone here except for a few co-workers who wanted him to come. He knew that Dua was going to be here, so he thought he would check it out. Emma had to work late and wasn't able to make it. After having a few drinks, he felt like he needed to get some air. There were so many people around and he was pretty worn out from the day. Taking his drink, he made his way through the mansion, looking for some place to get some air. Finally, he found the door to a balcony. Opening it, he stepped outside, but saw that someone was already there. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know someone was-- Alison?" he asked, realizing who it was.

I’m convinced moving here was the best decision I could’ve made based on the hikes alone.  Thinking I might spring for a cabin in the woods and just break away from society for pretty trees.  Was it this part of America that’s got the Bigfoots or …?

Damn, I can’t even remember the last time I went on a hike. I feel like work and planning a wedding keeps me so busy. That sounds nice though. How long have you been here? I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Not sure about Bigfoot, but I’d worry more about mountain lions.
