I made the Veganomicon cheezy sauce today with two cups soy milk mixed with two teaspoons veg broth seasoning instead of plain two cups veg broth...and it is soooo good. Even creamier than the normal. Never making it the original way again.

people brag about showering together and turning the water off while brushing their teeth to help the environment but don’t realize that it takes 2500 gallons of water to produce a pound of meat and that 55,000 square feet of rainforest has been destroyed for every burger you eat
This vegan cake has a vibrant array of colours that are naturally pleasing to your pretty little eyes.
Not even dietary restrictions can keep the delicious out of this vegan sugar cookie.
Made these today in fun wintry shapes! (moose) Kept shape well. Needed plenty of flour to roll them out, but was ok. Delicious cookies, and good with icing...yay sugar cookies!
stop making your pets uncomfortable for vines 2k15
honestly. stop yelling at your pets for vines. stop throwing things at your pets for vines. stop running at your pets screaming for vines.
Its one of the Best and most simplest of Tofu burger recipes. Filled with protein and wholegrain goodness, its also low fat and nutritious. Lip smacking good!
LOVE this recipe. Yummy stuff. I didn’t use the cilantro (my mom doesn’t like it) and I mixed in some nutritional yeast with the breadcrumbs to coat the patties, but otherwise followed exactly. Yum yum.
"You're eating a corpse" is not hyperbolic? Okay, enjoy eating rotting, decaying, pesticide, chemical and animal feces infested plant flesh for lunch. What do you mean that's hyperbolic too? No, it's just true.
I don’t find anything you have said to be hyperbolic, actually. All you are currently doing is speaking on my behalf in order to form what you think is my argument, and then essentially arguing with yourself. What you have just said is not exaggeration, it is an accurate description of what some vegetables are; it holds true in some cases and I will readily admit that. However, we both know you are being purposely obtuse, because we both also know that organically grown crops free of chemicals and animal fertilisers not only exist, but are pretty widely available. Therefore, plants are not “rotting, decaying, pesticide, chemical and animal feces infested plant flesh” in all cases, or even in most, so that description is not “just true,” despite your assertion to the contrary.
However, meat comes from a corpse by definition, and this definition holds true in all cases. There is no way to acquire meat that is not a dismembered part of an animal’s corpse, there is no instance that falls outside of this definition. Where do we disagree here? That meat doesn’t come from the dead body of an animal? That animal bodies are not capable of experiencing death? That corpses are an exclusive word for human bodies (despite popular usage to the contrary) making this little more than a petty and frankly pedantic semantic objection?
Your unwillingness to see meat as a corpse is understandable. We use language like “pork”, “beef” and “veal” specifically to help us forget what we are eating. The animal agrilcutre industry spend millions of dollars a year trying to actively make people forget what meat is, which judging by this conversation, clearly works. That’s fair enough, no one is immune. But don’t get mad at me for calling meat what it is just because you would rather forget.

I always see people asking, “How do I choose a kitten that will become a loving and outgoing adult cat?” Here is my foolproof, never-fail method:
Step 1: Go to your local animal shelter.
Step 2: Adopt a loving and outgoing adult cat.
I have been a cat owner my whole life and I literally never knew that tiger lilies and stargazers were also highly toxic to cats. Even drinking the water from the vase that lilies are in can kill the cat! I brought in a tiger lily from our yard today and just thought to look it up and found out (and of course removed the lily from our house as soon as I saw). How scary!
Other toxic flowers for cats:
Amaryllis (Amaryllis sp.)
Autumn Crocus (Colchicum autumnale)
Azaleas and Rhododendrons (Rhododendron sp.)
Castor Bean (Ricinus communis)
Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum sp.)
Cyclamen (Cyclamen sp.)
English Ivy (Hedera helix)
Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe sp.)
Lilies (Lilium sp.)
Marijuana (Cannabis sativa)
Oleander (Nerium oleander)
Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum sp.)
Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
Sago Palm (Cycas revoluta)
Spanish thyme (Coleus ampoinicus)
Tulip and Narcissus bulbs (Tulipa and Narcissus sp.)
Yew (Taxus sp.)

Veganism isn’t about loving animals, it isn’t about animals being beautiful or clever, it isn’t about what they can do for us or if we like them. We do not get to decide if they are worthy of life. They do not belong to us, there is no reason why humans should have authority over them. They..are..not..ours. It is not about empathy, you don’t need to feel anything. It is about logic. Veganism is logic
Easy, no blend, milk chocolate sauce 🍫
I am a huge fan of cacao but lately I just haven’t felt like anything too dark or bitter. If you can relate, this is the chocolate sauce for you! It’s super easy to make and only takes a couple of minutes + there’s minimal cleaning up.
Mix 1tb of cacao with 1tb coconut sugar and add a dash of boiling water, you want just enough to make a smooth paste. Gradually add your favorite non-dairy milk (I’ve made it with soy, almond + oat and they all work perfectly) and stir until the desired consistency is reached.
Drizzle on nice cream or pancakes and enjoy 🌰

If companies don't test on animals, what do they test on? 💉
In our modern day society we need to understand that there are over 240 alternative methods of product testing that do not involve animals. The only reason animal testing still exists is mostly because of the large amounts of money exchanged between labs and breeders. There’s amazing software that has been developed, that can almost accurately predict the type of reaction that chemicals will have on a human. Synthetic skin has also been invented which is truly incredible as, even though it has no human or animal product in it, it behaves exactly the same way as human skin would when exposed to chemicals. Most importantly, animal testing is inconclusive, and as a result 90% of all test results are discarded anyway. People defend animal testing, because they do not want humans to be the testers themselves but every single product on the market is actually tested on numerous humans before it can be sold to the public. So quite honestly testing on animals doesn’t have much point. Also, medicines and surgical procedures have been delayed in the past for several years due to animals behaving differently to how humans would have. Interestingly enough, if we completely trusted the results of animal tests, we would say that lemon juice is poisonous for human ingestion, while bromine, iodine and hemlock would be safe.
Now I hope you can see that there is no need for animal testing.
This is unbelievably perfect information, especially giving that I have a speech tomorrow for Public speaking on why animal testing should be banned
Yay! Hopefully this will help and you’ll kill your speech 😝

I love when people think veganism isn't doing anything directly so it's not a solution. They apparently don't consider the tens of thousands of dollars you pay for food in your life. you could either put that money towards arguably the worst industry of all time for animals and the environment, or use it to support vegan products to make them more widespread. You might not be killing the animals yourself and I may not be saving them myself, but at least vegans don't pay for their mass slaughter.
The logic just seems to be “I can’t bring down animal agriculture so I’m just going to keep giving them my money.” It is so frustrating because this would be universally recognised as ridiculous if applied to any other ethical situation. People are perfectly comfortable with the idea of boycotting until veganism is involved, then everyone is suddenly convinced that it doesn’t at all matter what we do as consumers and nothing makes a difference. Even if it made literally no difference, are we just expected to be compliant in something we find to be utterly abhorrent?
