Hey, Rosemary, I enjoyed your blog while it was active. I first envisaged starting my own while hanging out here... even chose the same tumblr theme. I've been having a lot of fun seeing more and sharing more animation over the past 6 months, and still going strong! Anywhoo, if you still think there's a dearth of animation blogs out there, may I humbly recommend my own? -henning (anomalina)
Unfortunately this blog has fallen by the wayside because of my school studies. Animation is a lot of work! Hopefully I'll get back on to posting regularly soon, but in the meantime I'd definitely recommend people checking out anomalina, there is some great stuff going on there!

I love this great retro stop motion commercial from Japan! There's a bunch more vintage tv ads over at the post on Fanboy.com
They've also posted up some from Italy, over here.
Saw this trailer for Un Monstre A Paris today over at Catsuka.
Oliver Ladeuix has kindly listed some of the artists involved in the film's production on his blog!

Music video for the band Danger Beach on Dream Damage Records. Character animation by Rodney Selby, design and direction by Ned Wenlock (on Vimeo).
Finally got around to watching this lovely video today.
Check out this massive collection of backgrounds and image boards done for the French/Japanese animated television series Oban Star Racers.
Trailer for the Scarygirl game released in 2009. Artwork by Nathan Jurevicius. Animation by Renmotion and Halo Pictures. Game design and programming by Touch My Pixel.
The creator of Rocko's Modern Life and Camp Lazlo, Joe Murray has launched Kaboing TV an online all carton, all animation channel!
I've been watching the Baidir website for quite some time but they haven't updated with any new information. It is listed as a personal project on Slimotion and there are a bunch of images relating to the project that you can check out there.
The co creators of this project seem to be Slimane Aniss, Thierry Rivière and Charles Lefebvre.
Some others who worked on this short who's blogs I could find are Vincent Mahé, Manuel Tanon-tchi, Oussama Bouacheria and éléa Gobbé-Mévellec

Congratulations to Passion Pictures for their fabulous work on “The Lost Thing” and the little golden statue it earned them.
I’m only posting the trailer here, but if you note the source you can go check out the official website to learn more. Having seen the film myself: I highly encourage you to do so.
I love these short films by Graham Annable, they are so fun and weird. Check out his illustration work at his website too!
Night Parade is a calarts second year film made by Sabrina Cotugno.
She notes that it was made "with Flash (character animation) Photoshop (backgrounds) and After Effects (compositing)"
Opening for the cartoon Dragon Hunters which was produced by the French company Futurikon and aired in the United States on Cartoon Network in 2006. Song by The Cure.
ROSE: The colour palette and texture of this opening reminds me of Nico Marlet's concept work, specifically for Kung-Fu Panda and How To Train your dragon.
At first I didn't realize hand cut paper was used to make this lovely commercial from the Brazilian stop motion studio Giroscopio Filmes! Thankfully this behind the scenes video clears it all up.
An interesting look into how the stop motion show Robot Chicken is made, seen at one of my favourite blogs Super Punch. He's also posted a video of one of the artists on the show sculpting the Sarlacc Pit for one of the Star Wars episodes!
