Nah, hatched eggs cap at level 20. They require too much work to reach any viable potential. Also evolution is random so they kind land up costing more than they are worth.

Wild pokemon cap at 30 having the advantage of high much higher potential while also skipping evolution steps and having the abilities to be competitive keeping costs for the trainer low.

Hatched eggs are only good for leveling up and getting you a good stock of stardust and candies. Only the single stage pokemon are worth investing in if they hatch with viable abilities.
