One of the best things in gsnk is that every character is just so stupid.

We all know that the main gang doesn’t have a single braincell between the five of them. There’s no doubt about it.

But.

There aren’t any braincells in the background characters either. Classmates? Nope. The people of the theatre club? No one. Random editors? Nothing.

i think the best thing about this episode is that while it was filler- it was also a recap episode. And one of the most clever ones I’ve ever seen. Normally recap episodes are flashback clips of scenes from the previous episodes strung together by a connecting story that isn’t too important to the plot or really that interesting. And in the end nothing really is addressed or happens. We get a silly- “Remember when-” deal and before we know it the episode is done with the audience only half paying attention.

THIS one however- it creates a fun scenario for the characters to not only take a breather- but also look at and remember all they went through with us (albeit not too accurately). They even managed to sneak in some development in with Aang, Katara, and Zuko.

A;TLA was one of the best series ever!
