I fully believe that when Mel and Viktor had their first real sit down and talk conversation it was awkward as hell. Neither knew what to talk about and it was so obvious.

Then Viktor mentioned off handed that he saw mel painting and was curious about it.

So anyways for the next two hours Mel was explaining color theory and brush strokes to him while he was writing it all down for later reference.
