We produce daily media content, with producers that are stationed in the United States, Germany and Japan. We've hosted online panels with almost every major anime company in the United States. (ie. But does this claim hold water (hurr hurr 'cause it's pirates)? Or are there more holes in this line of reasoning than Whitebeard's corpse? The Other Side tackles the arguments made in this article, and other podcasts, and finds themselves having to explain basic concepts to people who are supposed to be older than 5. Dragon Ball Super is coming to the world in July 2015. This is an all new series that will be overseen by the show’s creator, Akira Toriyama. It looks like this is going to be a long-running series that takes place after the events of the Majin Buu saga from Dragon Ball Z. This could possibly be the biggest thing to happen to anime since... well... I’m not quite sure.

Behold! The Final Episode of Hunter x Hunter is Coming!!!

All good things must come to an end. Megumi Han made this depressing announcement in the final entry of her Hunter x Hunter recording session diary. The end is near folks, this is not a test.

Now that I've talked about the turning point for this column, there's something I want to talk about. The other day, at Sanbunzaka Studio, the place of all the beginnings, we conducted the recording for episode 148 of Hunter x Hunter, which will serve as the turning point for the anime for now. I will not say "final episode" myself. I will be stubborn and only call it "episode 148." I say this, because in terms of episode numbers, in a certain meaning, this will be the final episode, but I feel that it also feels like the start of a new beginning. If you ask me, episode 147 is the final episode, and 148 is sort of an epilogue. The original manga is still continuing, and the adventures haven't ended yet. An unknown world still awaits. Actually, it's like what has happened up until now in the story was nothing more than a prologue, and it gets me even more expecting for what's to come. 

Though I say that, when I think that "I've been going to the same place every week at the same time for three years, but next week, this won't happen...," I get very sad.  

...I know I shouldn't talk too much, but I will condense my feelings right here. To everything up until now, and to everyone, I say, "Thank you."

So to recap, the final episode will be episode 147, followed by an epilogue, officially ending the anime on 148. Taking the bad with the good, it sounds like Toagashi is going to really unleash some amazing stories in the chapters to come. Sadly, we will miss the amazing production that accompanied this unconventional tails of a boy hunter and his dysfunctional cast of friends and foes.

New Cardcaptor Sakura?

After 13 years off the air, Cardcaptor Sakura is making waves in the anime rumor mill. Consider the hype surrounding the Winter 2014 Sailor Moon remake and it becomes less surprising that another popular series is already in the queue.

A recent Animedia article mentioned that series producer Eizo Kondo is interesting in making another Sakura anime. This could mean a number of things, all of which might lead to a dead end.   It can mean that they are adding another season, commissioning a remake or simply referencing the Sakura Wars anime, also from Madhouse.

I personally joined the 'anime club' a few years after this show was considered the hotness. Honestly... it was still popular, but it wasn't on a Cartoon Network level of popularity. So if they did a remake, I would be really interested in watching the series. Also, I've become a soft fan of CLAMP and would love to see them involved with their original work.

Before you go off and say CLAMP would have to be involved! That's not always the case, especially if Madhouse owns the exclusive rights to the series. Now how smart that move would be is a different matter all together.

It's great to see these stories pop up every once in awhile. It reminds me of wrestling during the Monday Night Wars. If saving the industry means going back to the well, I'm not going to stand in their way.
