ok, jokes aside. the grogar twist was actually decent since i was wondering what was going on with him being sidelined in his own plot. possibly could have pushed the "demanding friendship out of them" thing further as another goal Discord had with his plan, (i was surprised he said he Only did it to push Twilight and not trying to give them a chance to reform?) but it felt consistent enough with his character.

the petrification is (shrug) but i guess it's fine in that it implies in another 1000 years some rando will get to reform them too lol

uhh what else... i like when chrysalis crawls on walls doing bug stuff. i hope the reformed changelings do that also. they do in my heart

the show was clearly having an issue where they were trying to raise the stakes, but the stakes had already gone to max previously, so everyone was like THIS IS THE WORST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED while the actual level of problem felt horizontal to other finales. which is fine but does drive home that this needed to end... at least twilight got her cool rainbow vaporization beam

also, i was terminated here for most of the offending episodes but unfortunately while some characters have gotten development, others act fully ooc (or act like they havent gotten prior dev so they can repeat an episode plot). pinky pie had some of the worst of it but apple jack and rainbow dash got some too. feel like they could've leaned harder on the new student characters, who i did like but didnt have enough screentime to develop more than surface level really

starlight & trixie maybe my fave pair in the later seasons. just because it actually makes sense when they suck at stuff and it makes their friendship feel more sincere, as opposed to when the mane 6 sucks at friendship and it just feels like they should be finding other things to do if they cant get along this many years in

oh and i maintain that cozy glow being the changeling queen wouldve been better than creating a genuine child that "needed" to be put in tartarus but hey whatever you want. cozy is pretty funny though, i do like her.

i am also a little sad chrysalis didnt reform. not because i want her to (idc) but bc i want to see her use a ladybug motif based on that one disguise she keeps using. maybe someones already drawn it. maybe ill draw it

i still need to watch the friendship is forever coronation so this may not be the very last you hear from me. i am skipping these gd clip montages though

tutu herself was conceptualized around then. initially i was just hoping to make a mascot-type character (such as in a tales rpg) with a little gravitas. i really like the character she's grown into.

also please don't kill everyone in the room and then yourself if anything happens to her.

huh. since coming back ive had multiple people show up in my notes who i thought were mutuals, but it seems to be a one-way follow from my end. which is fine, just confusing that they'd still show up in my notes, and i dont think my follower count has changed. not sure if there's been some kind of glitching from the deactivation situation or just me having a poor memory
