Pulling back with a slight flush on his cheeks, Alec bit his his lip. He wasn’t sure he was ready for that, although he couldn’t deny that he had most definitely thought about doing exactly that more than once since Magnus had first kissed him, “I was just…”

“I’m teasing you Alexander, I don’t plan to go any further than this for now” He said assuring the shadowhunter he would not do anything he wasn’t ready for. Even if Magnus found it hard to resist his boyfriend he knew he had to, just a little longer.

Alec pulled back from the kiss, hesitantly pressing his lips to Magnus’ neck. He mirrored the warlock’s previous actions, gently nipping at his skin.

Again the warlock purred letting Alec know he was liking what he was doing. He had to admit he was really liking this side of the nephilim. "If you keep doing that we might as well take this to bed" he teased.

Being in Magnus’ arms helped him relax somehow. His grip on the warlock tightened and Alec pressed his face against his chest, body shaking as he cried.

Closing his eyes the warlock just held him, hoping that maybe one day things would be better. "Shh, it will be okay. I'm here, I won't let anyone hurt you" out of fear of scaring the shadowhunter he refrained from kissing him or moving much at all.

A groan escaped him, blue eyes meeting Magnus’ once again. Alec’s cheeks were still red, but he didn’t plan on stopping him. It felt so much better than he’d ever imagined.

Since there didn’t seem to be any complaints yet Magnus decided to remove Alec’s shirt. Waiting for the shadowhunter to either give his approval by lifting his arms or tell him to stop.

He hesitated a moment, biting his lip. One last look at the warlock’s face, and Alec made up his mind. He wanted this. Lifting his arms, the shadowhunter let his shirt be taken off.

He pressed his lips against Alec's again, not planning to go any further. After all it was far too soon for it, especially considering the shadowhunter had never even been kissed before this.

Magnus moved closer to Alec very slowly. “I will do everything I can to help you I swear” he placed a hand very carefully on Alec’s arm. “Can we try a hug? Please?” At that moment he was pretty sure he needed that hug a lot more than his boyfriend. But they needed to try, if Alec kept pulling away nothing would get better.

The touch on his arm made him flinch, but he forced himself to not pull away. He wanted to be able to do this, to be with Magnus. He had to try. Nodding his head, Alec slowly moved forward and reached out to Magnus with trembling arms.

Very carefully he wrapped his arms around Alec, running his fingertips along his spine knowing it usually calmed him down. "It's just me, I would never hurt you" he said feeling his boyfriend tremble in his arms.

Magnus purred as he felt Alec’s hips roll against his. “Alexander” he smirked down at the shadowhunter. “Want more do we?” The warlock pushed up Alec’s shirt and placed soft kisses over his abs.

“Magnus..” He moaned out, back arching as the warlock kissed his stomach, “Fuck.” The word slipped out, causing his face to turn red.

"If I go too far tell me to stop" Magnus said clearly amused by the word slipping out of Alec's mouth. The warlock moved the shirt further up and trailed his lips up over Alec's chest, watching his face the whole time.

"Great. Order from whatever place you want and get me whatever you're having, it's on me" he smiled before turning back to his work trying so hard to focus on his work.

Drawing a female when all he had on his mind was Alec was extremely hard.

Magnus reached out for Alec’s hands again, it pained him that he couldn’t wrap his arms around him anf just hold him until he felt better. “It’s because he did things to you that are meant to feel good. Your body reacted on impulse, sometimes pain in smaller amounts than what you were put under can even make it feel better…” Magnus sighed and tried so hard to be strong for his boyfriend. But he really didn’t know how to. Even if he himself had been abused as a child it was never as bad as this, and even though it took him a long time to trust people again, he had.

The warlock felt the tears well up in his own eyes as he watched Alec rock back and forth. How was he supposed to fix this, broken bones, wounds and even being poisoned that he could fix but this, this was unfixable. Alec was beyond broken. “Don’t apologize you did nothing wrong” Magnus said though he barely got the words out. His throat felt thick with the tears he was fighting, and he felt more hopeless than he ever had before.

The shadowhunter just stared at the floor, listening to Magnus speak but not saying anything in response. Alec wasn’t sure what to think anymore. His mind was racing with so many different thoughts that he couldn’t keep track of, “I wanted to be with you. And he.. he took that away from me. I can’t get that back..”

His hands balled into fists, gaze moving back to the warlock in front of him, “He took away everything that I wanted to give you. And now I.. I can’t even.. I don’t.. help me, Magnus. Please..”

"I'm trying. I really am. I just don't know how" he admitted. They needed to take it even slower then before, even if Magnus had time Alec didn't, Sebastian had quite literally destroyed both of their lives.

"I could use potions or summon a demon to take your memories but they tend to prefer happy memories... I don't... I don't know how to help you, Alexander" At this point he couldn't hold the tears back, he felt them slowly run down his cheek as he looked at his broken boy.

Magnus purred as he felt Alec's hips roll against his. "Alexander" he smirked down at the shadowhunter. "Want more do we?" The warlock pushed up Alec's shirt and placed soft kisses over his abs.

Magnus was a stubborn man. Alec smiled, shaking his head a little as he walked closer to him. He let his eyes wander the room, taking in the art on the walls and the bright, bold colors. It wasn’t really his type of place, but then, he’d never really been fond of tattoos. Expect the ones Magnus did.

“I eat just about anything, really. Except my sister’s cooking, because she could probably mangage to ruin something as simple as soup. She’s a horrible cook.”

"That bad huh?" Magnus said looking at Alec so tempted to just throw the gigantic man on the table and draw on him instead of the paper before him.

"How about chinese? Big variation and amazing food"

Magnus reached out for Alec's hands again, it pained him that he couldn't wrap his arms around him anf just hold him until he felt better. Another little sound fell from Alec’s lips, back arching slightly as Magnus’ fingertips brushed a particularly sensitive spot and he pulled back from the kiss, head falling back against a pillow.

It was so fun attempting to find all Alec's sensitive spots wanting to make him feel as good as possible. Magnus moved his over Alec's throat deciding to leave a small mark. He bit down just enough to get a reaction from Alec, kissing the spot before sucking on it. The shadowhunter was his and he would make sure everyone knew that.

Alec’s face fell slightly, but he nodded. Magnus was clearly a busy man, and he didn’t want to intrude on his work. Art of any kind, whether it was aranging a flower basket or designing a tattoo, took patience and dedictation. And a lot of time and effort. Alec understood that well.

“Tomorrow night sounds great. I’ll stop by after work?”

Noticing the slight change in Alec’s mood, Magnus turned to look at his work for a second.

“Unless you wanna have the date here while I work. We can order take out”

It was perhaps not the most romantic date he’d ever set up but it at least meant he got to go on a date with the cutest florist in the world, now.

“I’d like that, actually, but I don’t want to intrude on your work. If you’re really busy, we can do this another time, it’s not a big deal.” Alec would love to spend time with him, but he didn’t want to seem too desperate, “When creativity strikes, it’s best to not be distracted by other things. I know how that is.”

He’d once been inspired to start a new line of anniversary gift baskets at an ungodly hour of the night. Or at least that’s what his boyfriend had told him at the time.

"The problem is if you're not here my thoughts might wander and I might end up being distracted by the fact that you are not here" it was a long shot but it was also true. More than once Magnus had ended up drawing Alec than what he was supposed to. Dirt on his face after a long days work and that gorgeous smile. Once he had ended up drawing Alec just so he could draw designs on him, he still loved that picture and had actually put it up among his many works.
