Married to the stage
According to an interview with the South China Morning Post in 2014, Eddie Lau - who was Anita Mui's fashion designer and also her best friend. He revealed about the famous wedding gown:
"It's a sad wedding gown,
Anita was a very sucessful woman, with talent and a kind heart. She wore the wedding gown, but she had no bridegroom.
She said to me: "I want my own wedding gown, because I am a woman."
I asked her: 'Who are you going to marry?' She said she would marry the stage.
I used all the love I had to give to design a wedding gown for a BRIDE without a BRIDEGROOM.
A lonely woman who wore a gorgeous wedding gown, it was a sad but beautiful story."
