Been keeping an eye on a mulberry in my neighborhood on public land and ..: the berries were coming along. Skipped two weeks and it is completely empty. Not a single berry to be seen.

Alice Cooper has a great voice.
I'm listening to a 70s station and a couple of times now - they've played an Alice Cooper song and - damn. I had no idea. I lived through the 70s and - had no idea. He's got a great voice.
Beets. growing beets. Love beets. Beet greens sautéed in olive oil and garlic? Delicious. Sliced pickled beets. Also yummy. But now that I am growing my own what do I do with the stems?
Decided to experiment with dehydration. Apparently you can throw them in soups or make beet powder from them.
I’m now totally invested in the lives of the Carolina wrens who built a nest in the bird house we put out.

This is my best book. Get it, and let me know what you think and if you agree – please review as it helps others find the book: Mastering the Five Managerial Superpowers
This may be the most important book I’ve written because it teaches the skill underneath every other skill: learning to manage yourself and your responses. It's science based. For real.

We’ve had this figure for years. Someone gave it to us. We don’t remember who. Never knew who or what it was. Just a funky looking #starwars character. Now we know
Just kissed my husband of 26 years. There was a static shock when we kissed. Proof there is still a spark between us.

Bach mass in b minor. Saw it performed tonight with baroque instruments. It is amazing!!! Sections of it put you in a trance like state, both for performers and listeners. My friend hallucinated floating notes coming out of the choir at one point in her altered state.
The horns were amazing. They sound like human voices.
Highly recommend. Oh and the flute duet in one section is amazing.

Bug bites on my shoulders make me itchy!
Bug bites on my shoulders makes me cry.
Anti itch cream barely helps me.
They just keep on biting me, oh why!

This looks like a baby polar bear face. But…. It is actually,
Garden statue of a cat.
Every time I look out my window, I see just the polar bear face. Not the holes in the butt of the cat from wear and tear.
I realized why I’m happy most of the time. I’m mentally a 12 year old, in the body of a 60 year old. I’m basically a child with the power of an adult!!! No wonder I think life is pretty great.
“I love today!” - a kid playing on their scooter on my block this evening.
Just got out of Dhurandhar 2 the revenge and holy cow! The relevancy of the central problem to … every country is crazy. Criminal enterprises stoking racial and religious hatred as it makes them rich is a problem in every country. And the criminal money being spent to rig elections is why they remain in power and the people don’t get the support or resources we need to live well because it’s all being siphoned off by criminals. Anyway. It was a satisfying conclusion.
Things I saw today.
Had a lovely creative night at my community association meeting. Discussed music muscle atrophy ( when you stop playing, you have to relearn and retrain your muscles (embouchure or callouses and possibly breathe control).
Also spoke to an artist about his tiny museum installation for a local park and had a creative explosion regarding the possibilities because he wants a rotating exhibit in his tiny gallery of micro art.
Ideas I pitched, get art from thrift shop, cut it up and display a section. Over time, the whole painting is displayed and you can reframe all the sections and display them as a single piece in sections. He got excited by the possibilities.
He wasn’t sure about using thrifted art. But I told him we had given a bunch of my dads prints to a thrift store and the idea of random people having my dads photographs in their homes with no real knowledge of whose art it was, made us happy. He liked that perspective, that he would be giving new life to discarded art.
Anyway… all these people live in my neighborhood and we got to sample the kombucha as we were at the kombucha lounge my neighbor opened. And I just really love my neighborhood and neighbors. And we all agree the new shucos truck that opened next to the indoor soccer fields is amazing. His food is amazing!
