one thing i absolutely loved about The Half of It was how they showed ellie and her dad speaking mandarin to each other 99.9% of the time because that’s the reality of most households with immigrant parents

but many shows/movies show those kinds of family speaking english, which is great because many immigrant parents do speak english and they speak it rather well

i just thought it was nice that they showed a parent not knowing how to speak english fluently and mentioning how he had a PhD in engineering back in china, because many americans believe that your accent determines your intelligence, which it doesn’t

so to some people this might seem trivial, but to someone who’s been/is living through that, it means a lot to have seen it on screen

Oh my gosh, I watched 2x05 yesterday and I was like omg the tension is palpable. I am so excited for tonight's episode! :D

Yes, There is a lot of tension in that scene. What do you think about of the episode 3x03? Did you watch it? Omg!!! It was so good the fight and the kiss. But I don´t know if we got the kiss we was expecting.

I want to talk about Killing Eve’s Season 2 Finale. I watched the whole 2 seasons whitin 24 hours and I love it. I love it.

When Villanelle starts to scream at Eve about how she loved her yet Eve rejected her, it was one of Villanelle’s most vunerable moments. Villanelle loved and was obsessed with Eve. So was Eve to Villanelle, but Eve didn’t want that. The only thing Villanelle wanted was to be with Eve. The empathy the audience has in Villanelle almost normalize her psycopathic tendencies and it makes the audience forget that she is an actual psycopath. For example, Dexter Morgan in Dexter. He is an actual serial killer yet the audience have a strong sense of empathy for him. Dexter with (i dont remember his girlfriend/wife’s name) and how he doesn’t want to let her go right before she died. Villanelle’s obsession and love for Eve has a smilarity to that. Villanelle would never hurt a kid, i.e. when she kidnapped Konstatine’s daughter and she was almost like an older sister figure to his daughter. She wouldn’t hurt her even though she pulled that little stunt to get Konstatine and Eve’s attention. Villanelle shooting Eve was probably the hardest decision for V even though she is a literal psycopath and psycopaths has no feelings whatsoever. V was in her most vulnerable state when she was rejected by Eve. Thats it. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.
