Do you know what I miss?

Experiencing SSO for the first time.

I was so eager to progress through the game so I did every quest, daily and races that I could everyday. Something I regret every single day...

But I never checked the news and I wasnt yet involved with ssoblr. So I had no spoilers of anything.

First time walking into dino valley? Mysterious and excited. First time going into golden Hill? Awestruck. Learning about magic? Amazing!

I hadnt play the season riders in many years, so I didnt remember how that part of jovik looked like. And even then, a lot had changed.

I only played the first SSL game so even Pandoria was completly new to me.

First time going into Pandoria was an amazing experience.

I wished I could reexperience it all over again. Forget about the entire game and start over. Take it easy and just explore.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been afraid to play on a new account at all because, from what I’ve seen, the sequence of quests is a lot more cluttered and convoluted than it used to be. I think I’m probably lucky I played as early as I did (caught up with everything in 2013 and have stayed on top of each major update since!) and still have such clear memories of the experience.

It looks like it would be a totally different experience now.

As someone who tried cramming as many quests to get a side account to level 10 for that snowy owl.......even half paying attention to the dialog was a mess.

You’re learning to ride, sabotaging GED, meeting Fort Pinta’s “mayor” and unlocking Token’s picture journey, gathering various objects for things people need (wool, flowers, cheese, poles laying around), building a bridge, meeting circus man, find a runaway horse, the clockkeeper is gone, build a race for ponies, unlocking South Hoof includes the starting quests of the lighthouse going dark and finding the inhabitants, fishing, meeting the hermit, Madison shenanigans includes meeting Nightdust, building the rescue ranch with Hugh, back to the mainland where you check out the race track for the baroness, deliver cookies (that have a muffin icon) to the locked castle where you hear crying from inside, you start gardening, Starshine Ranch quests begin, you meet Sabine and she gives you a letter to send to Justin, you and Alex follow Khaan’s fiery hoof prints, Justin is leaving, his dad is upset....

Most of these I did between the levels of 6-10. I was even doing multiple quests at the same time because it was a lot of going back and forth between places that I might as well get these on the way!

If you’re trying to catch up as fast as possible, you’ll end up with whiplash!

I really wonder when we are able to enter Fort Maria.. I noticed this cave-looking thing up there yesterday. It feels like the SSO team used to have some plans for Fort Maria first when Epona opened, but then they just forgot about it.. Just like with many more other things in the game.
