Four Seasons Shiraz 2013

With the sad demise of 2013, I welcome 2014 with another bottle review of "Four Seasons Shiraz, 2013".

Most of us usually have our "Red Wine"with food or just another classy showoff at the house parties, I do to sometimes :P  But, over a time I have grown fond of red wines mostly and now I can have it like anytime.

My last review was of "Merlot" which was more spicier for my stomach, I was skeptical on reviewing "Shiraz" though i had tasted it earlier but still.

So, I finally had the courage to get out of my blanket also while playing GTA V , to open the bottle and enjoy it ( apart from the game ), to my surprise, it was not spicy for my intestines.  It was very smooth, its a dry style wine and you can feel that.

While driving cars like crazy and shooting people in the game I enjoyed the Four Seasons Shiraz like another evening drink, not like a digestive red wine what we have at dinner or sunday brunches.

I also suggest you to have this wonderfully smooth wine with some Chicken kebabs as i did , the taste goes from dry to tangy. 7 out of 10 brownie points for this lovely lady.

Four Seasons Merlot 2012

How excited i was to review the Merlot thoroughly, since have tasted the Four Seasons Merlot earlier.

About the splendid wine :

Dry, Red Wine, Merlot Grapes.  Baramati, Maharashtra Origin. Ruby red color,  Tasting notes: Colour : Ruby red in colour with a hint of garnet 

Aroma : Delicious aromas of ripe black fruits, especially plums.  Palate : Medium bodied with soft tannins and a pleasant lasting finish. Serving suggestion: Enjoyed best at 16 - 18 degree C with medium spiced Indian dishes as well as roast lamb with all the trimmings. Now,  it surely is dry, it has a soothing aroma to it, the first sip is very smooth in your mouth then you feel the spice on your tongue & tonsils when it makes it way to your stomach, it gives you a warm sensation rather a strong one. It is good with Bacon!! ohh! trust me ;)  Gives you a zigzag feeling in your stomach altogether, in a good way. The bottle looks decent enough for a reasonable Indian Wine priced at Rs. 570/- INR for a 750 ml bottle. Surely they need to jazz up the bottle a bit to make it more royally appealing as its a wine not a Vodka or beer bottle. For me the feel & look of bottle does the first job then the taste and the aroma last, so suggested to work on their bottles to make it more chivalrously appealing.

All in all a spicy wine which gives you a strong tinch in your stomach, enjoy this on sunday evening's with bacon, aahh!! you'll love it, don't forget your friends :P
