Iām not good with words (I use translator), but I hope my art speaks to you. Twitter @La_sera_art DA: https://www.deviantart.com/la-sera ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/la_sera IG: la_sera_art
Iāve gotten kind of addicted to using this style since I donāt have to do sketches or outlines, my weak points.
With Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment just released yesterday, I wanted to draw King Rauru and Queen Sonia. Their designs and long hair are so lovely.
While the Zelda community is busy talking about an OOT remake, I'm over here drawing non-Zelda art. I'm excited about the remake news, now I have to save up for a Switch 2 (never played OOT before).
Going back to the old me, who loved drawing gothic lolita fashion, lace, and ribbons.
I've been reading books and watching YouTube videos, and a lot of people say they do their bulk fermentation for up to 4 hours, depending on their room temperature, or until the dough doubles in size.
I tried 4 hours in Attempts #2 and #3, and it didn't work, my dough barely rose.
So for Attempt #4, I decided to ignore the clock and just wait until the dough actually doubled in size. And it took 17 hours (from 1 PM until 6 AM the next day)!
I honestly have no idea why it took so long. Maybe my starter is still very young? Maybe my room temperature is too cold? I really don't know.
But I was so happy when I woke up and saw that the dough had finally come alive overnight, like Pinocchio becoming a real boy lol! (when I checked it around midnight, it had only grown about 10%. Then five hours later, it suddenly looked like it was actually breathing.)
I got excited and scored it with a Link design as a charm. My original idea was to give Link a sword slash as the deep score, but I was afraid I'd mess up the drawing, so I ended up going with a simpler design instead.
Then I baked it for 1 hour at 200-210°C, with high hopes that this attempt would finally succeed, and the result wasā¦
..........
ā¦never mind...𤦠(you okay, Link? XD)
Again, the loaf didn't get the oven spring I was hoping for. The loaf flat and the crumb dense, without the airy holes. šš why...
Looks like my starter isnāt strong enough yet.
Looks like Iām still underproofing or overproofing.
They are both dorks and they make me sick I love them so much š Iāve been meaning to draw more of Aurora since my first concept sketch and so this little scenario was born. A little random doodle that evolved into some sort of comicā¦thing?
The bread didnāt rise properly, and the crumb inside is uneven, so it turned out quite hard to eat.
Attempt #3. Don't be fooled by its appearance, this breads would make a better weapon because it's incredibly hard. š (Though it's softer than my first attempt.)
I refreshed this post, and at the time of writing this, the total number of likes shown is 64. HOWEVER, my Tumblr notification on my phone says the post has 114 likes at the exact same time.
Has anyone else noticed this anomaly before? Or has it ever been discussed?
I often see a number of notifications, but when I actually open Tumblr, the numbers don't match. The like count on the post is frequently much lower than what my notifications suggest.
update:
Update 2:
When Iām posting this update 2, the total likes on Tumblr are 108, while the notification count is already 168.
OK, I have no idea why Tumblr notifications are like this, and apparently itās not just me experiencing it. At least Iām not losing my mind, I really thought I was just bad at counting notifications.
Thanks to everyone who helped like this test post, and I hope this post is also useful info for you all
8 days ago I started making a sourdough starter from flour and water, feeding it every day until today I finally baked my first loaf. I even scored a Hyrule crest and Triforce on it so I could proudly show it here today.
And⦠TADA!!
š Failed š
The bread turned out hard as a rock, Iāll give it to my chickens tomorrow.
is your favourite part of rendering doing the hair? i feel like the way you do it is so majestic and beautiful, and the amount of care to detail in each strand really makes the piece stand out <3
Yes, drawing hair is my favorite part, I enjoy drawing details. I grew up with Japanese manga, so I think my style is heavily influenced by them.
Like I mentioned a few months ago, Iāve now made a video of my drawing process with my new style. Iām still learning from all of you and other artists, but I hope this video/tutorial can be helpful for those of you who are learning to draw.
