He sighed after several minutes had passed. “Where did she go?” He kept flipping through channels.

When she got back she sat next to him on the bed. She pulled out her phone. “Here.”

He started watching his two children pushing their faces into the small area of the camera, and as he took in their voices, their words, their smiles, he teared up. “Thank you for this.” He grinned. “Can you play it again?”

“Of course.” She pushed play.

His face became brighter. “They are so adorable, aren’t they? Thank you. I have the best wife in the world.”

She kissed his forehead. “We did good.”

He smiled up at her. “I give more credit to you. You carried them for 9 months.”

“Oh hush. You take care of them everyday.”

“Thanks.” He smiled. “I really needed that video. You’re the absolute best.”

“So will you be staying another day then?”

“I have to consult my nurse first. What does she say?”

“She said you need to stay another day.” She smiled.

“If that’s not against hospital policy.” He smirked.
