important reminder that most people you follow online are significantly lamer than you think they are including me. and if you feel insecure comparing yourself to someone online: DON'T. theyre probably also lame and weird. most people on the internet are

Justice With A Smile by Dazai Osamu
"Iāve never been lectured and changed because of it. Iāve never ended up admiring the person who gave the lecture, ever. People who give lectures are drunk on their egos. They should pull their heads out of their asses. Truly great people just smile when others make mistakes. Profound, tranquil smiles can shatter illusions without words. All of a sudden, the scales fall from your eyes. And next time, you do better. But being lectured just sucks."
"At night, the wind settled down a little, but I could still hear it beating at the storm shutters. Other than that, it was a beautiful moonlit evening. Listen, wind. Blow all you want, but donāt blow away the moon and stars."
"My mom and my brother and my sister coddle me, spoil me, tell me Iām doing good, and I get a big head about it, but when I take a step out into the world everything goes to hell. Iām a pathetic little person. Maybe itās my fate to climb to the highest heights and then plummet to the ground. The world is a petty place filled with people who hate each other for no reason. It sucks, but thatās the way it is."
Stepping inside, Iād been startled by the sight of books everywhere, in the genkan, in the hallway, in the parlor with the tatami floor. āHave you actually read all these?ā I asked. Forget being politeāI needed to know. Tsuda smiled.Ā āAre you kidding? No. But when Iām ready, theyāre there waiting.ā
āGrowing upā: these are the words that swim up in my mind. An adult. What a thing to become.
"Until now, my solitude was, letās say, relative. I was overly conscious of other people, and because of that, I ended up having to strike artificial poses. But this solitude thatās settled in today is different. Iāve got no interest at all in any other person. Everyone annoys me. I feel like I could easily withdraw from the world. ... Disenchantment. Thatās definitely the word. I was trying hard not to use it, but thereās just no other word. Disenchantment it is."
"It isnāt that I think the world is stupid and silly, itās that I think Iām stupid and silly for playing its games. Now I sit alone in darkness, laughing to myself. Look at the way the world isāof course no one has any ideals. The people eke out a pathetic cardboard existence, barely holding onto their humanity. But thatās life."

I'm seeing more posts where people explain in detail why they like a certain character even though they are problematic. I want to tell them it's cool, they can like any character they want to and that in no way makes them accountable for any moral failings the character has.
I mean, I've always liked Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter. He's a bad ass, psychotic, murderous, pedophile clown. No, I am not going to justify anything. Hisoka isn't real. He's just a cool character.
Every fujoshi who reads this is thinking about their favorite bottom, whose hands are very busy doing some vitally important thing, getting the hiccups and their favorite top coming to the rescue saying, "I will save you from those hiccups! Quick, let me stick my fingers in your butt!!!" and how that scenario would escalate so fast.
Me to Myself: Crunchyroll's price is increasing again. Should I keep my subscription? All I'm using it for right now is to rewatch Hunter x Hunter.
*goes to watch hxh and realizes Crunchyroll dropped it*
Me to Myself: Guess that answers that question.
I'm reading more about Zen Buddhism, and it's got me wondering: Could the game Superliminal be considered similar to a koan?
