Oh, he had her now, she was full-on grinning when she said, “Well…”

“I can wait all day, so you might as well spill!”

“All right, since I’ve been going a little mad over here thinkin’ about this all by myself, you win!” She sat up and faced him, cross-legged.

“Why do I have the feeling this is about to be the best day of my life?”

“Ohhh, m’god!” Rose groaned, rubbing her hands across her flushed face. “So, it was the last night before we landed here.”

Jack’s mouth was an O and he raised his eyebrows in encouragement.

“Well, you know, everything was so emotional, after all that. I had to have a long hot soak and had decided to just go to bed.”

“Right, I thought you might show up to watch the movie with me, but figured you crashed. So you didn’t?”

“I was already in bed when he knocked on my door, came in. He was actin’ all, squirrely, you know? Paced around, kept asking if I was sure I was ok. But I got the feelin’ it was more him who wasn’t. Eventually, I told him to sit down and have a cuddle.”

I'd like some suggestions on how people keep track of fic they like on Tumblr. In my opinion, Tumblr is just about the WORST fucking service for keeping track of fics in the ENTIRE WORLD. It's like trying to corral coked-up squirrels in a bouncy house. I don't know HOW it became this fic hotbed.

[BEGIN ENTIRELY SKIPPABLE RANT] You can't keep your page open to a fic you want to come back to, because if you wait too long Tumblr refreshes. (At least that's what happens on my iPhone, which I use pretty much exclusively.) There's nowhere to save bookmarks or memories, except for likes or reposts, which have no system of organization. Maybe I’m missing how to do something, but you have to fucking SEARCH for the fic community blogs you want to check up on, there’s no way to just keep a link to go there (is there?). Most fic chapters I see have no cut links to make the post shorter if you want to scroll past it, so you have to scroll endlessly through someone's magnum opus just to get to the next post to see if you're interested. Half the "links to previous Tumblr chapters" that I see are broken and lead nowhere. Hashtags get entered differently per chapter--even by the same person--and you have to search 12 times to find all the ways someone spelled something. There aren't even fucking DATES on posts! Sorry, but I came up on LiveJournal and Teaspoon and AO3 and they aren't perfect but I got used to all those features. [/RANT]

So what do people do to keep track of fics they're reading/gonna read/want updates on? I mostly just pray whatever links I open will open at A03 and then I open those again in Safari. (At least on AO3 I can subscribe for updates.) Then I live with 250 open Safari tabs on my phone. I read one lady's comment on here that she keeps a damn SPREADSHEET to keep track of everything. The struggle is real, people. Let's pool our resources.

I’ve been rereading my AO3 bookmarks and found this little bit of lovliness there. Does ValueTurtle have a Tumblr? Because she writes really evocatively.
