Something i haven't seen discussed much on here (possibly because I've been avoiding the tags because of all the hate) is that
CROWLEY AND AZIRAPHALE AREN'T IN THE BOOK OF LIFE
Michael burns the entire book. Crowley saves a *single* page. Yet Aziraphale and Crowley persist. Even when God "makes a universe" without them in it.... They still are. They persist. Aziraphale and Crowley are as foundational to creation as God and Satan themzelves (you'll notice Satan also didn't have a page)
Aziraphale and Crowley can not be deatroyed in any way that truly matters.
I want to feel happy, but I can't. Not when their only kiss was a last resort. Not when they only held hands out of necessity and then once at the very end of their lives. Not when it feels like in the end, God still won and they lost.
I'm happy they live on in another universe, but my heart breaks for the angel and demon who sacrificed everything, everything, for the sake of the greater good.
"I only want one thing, and that's not what this is about anymore" fucking eviscerated me
ok just to recap they lost the antichrist in S1 they lost the archangel gabriel in S2 and now they lost jesus??? omg these guys can't do anything
GO hot take apparently
Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.
And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"
I feel sorry for people who didn't get anything out of that stunning finale.

#slowly having my soul crushed frame by frame
Finished the movie like an hour ago, so just some thoughts.
Unpopular opinion of GO3:
Honestly, I think it‘s a fitting end. Sure, it was kinda bits and pieces, because of the only 90min we got, but the gist is:
Nobody has control over anything, Not angels, not demons. And sometimes you just can‘t save the world. And everything falls apart and everything ends. They both chose to protect what was most important to them, which is humanity.
I kinda loved that little scene, with:
„Your soul is important to us, please hold.“ (or something)
So I believe that their soul did reincarnate as them. And they got to live the messy emotional human life they always wanted. Without the burden of 6000 years prior. Only them. As humans. In a human world.
And they were happy in the end.
My dad sends me. Doctor Who character analysis sometimes and here's his latest:
11, more than any other Doctor, is the reason that River says, "Never let the Doctor see you get older." Rose, Martha, Amelia, Clara, Billie, Ryan, and Yaz are all young, all full of a sense of wonder for the things that the Doctor shows them. Donna is an adult. She first decided to become a companion because she was in a rut and wanted to run away from that. So 10 thought she would be like the the others. On their first trip, 9 showed Rose the end of the Earth. When she assumes that he is going to save the Earth, he corrected her. Stating that this is an unchangeable event. From the beginning, he trains her not to question his judgement on what he says cannot be changed. Donna was too old to fall for that and pushes back constantly. Okay, so you can't save everyone in Pompeii, then just save one person. It isn't an all or nothing proposition. He learned from that and tried to do better. Until he got too arrogant and tried to save someone he really should have let die. But then he became 11, the Doctor who forgets. The one who keeps running away more than any other. 200 years running away from Lake Silence. Years in a cloud over Victorian London. Years spent in a monastary.
If he can't save everyone, then fine. He won't save anyone.
Then he became 12, with a face to remind him of Donna's lesson.
