i can't believe they killed hopper's second daughter. I can't believe hopper spent the entirety of season 3 and 4 and 5 believing that he couldn't protect El because he couldn't protect sara, just for it to end up being true. great fucking writing.
One thing I REALLY wish they'd explored more in Stranger Things is El's/Jane's bond with her brothers :( we didn't get nearly enough of that... She deserved a family, at the very least.

I love how vivimeng are able to use such fantastical elements to criticise the kpop entertainment system. With alien stage it critisied the overly competitive culture in kpop which just reduces idols to products than actual people. Now I zombie stage they critisise the oversexulization of idols.

I think it comes across as misogynistic when people start describing her like you have. She's so much more than Mike Wheeler and eggo waffles. Never understood how people can claim her character is centered around Mike when she spends so much time not only away from him but actively fulfilling other plotlines that don't involve him. She's probably got the most self centric storylines in the show.
I view her more like Nancy than anything. She has a boyfriend but that boyfriend never stopped her from doing her own thing. They both actively do whatever they want, are self sufficient strong female characters who just so happen to have a bf. So many people in this fandom confuse having a partner for making that you're only character trait.
If the only thing you took away from El's character is that she likes Eggo Waffles and Mike Wheeler, than no you don't like her character and you don't pay attention to her either. You are the ones reducing her to Mike's gf the show never did that.
