The way to a knitter’s heart is with a good wooden needle.
Starting one of the shawls I’m designing on 10″ straights was fine, but with an increase on every right side row, it is reaching the point of being...not fine.
36″ circulars are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Nice ones, wooden, discounted to the point of not even requiring “can I / should I?”, with free shipping. Good times.
My Father in law broke his wrist in a fall. He said his busted hand was cold and he couldn’t fit find anything to keep it warm.
So I made him a shark hand cover.

Working an applied border is really fun, but what to do when you reach that corner? Read all about it in this tutorial!

I think this works well as I’m knitting a seed stitch border into my Milkweed cardigan.
Continuing to work on the brown sweater, need new gray yarn for the gray-and-navy sweater, and figured out how to make crescent-shaped things from a first experiment late last night, so of course I have yet another WIP now.
@shanexcore replied to your photoset “Got myself out today for free cold brew (thank you, Star Rewards) and...”
I had a star reward and tried the cold brew with an extra splash of cream. So so good! And great job so far!!
Thanks! I don’t have a pattern, but I have A Plan. (I also have never knit a sweater before, but, you know, whatever...)
I wasn’t too impressed with the cold brew. I really only like a few of their dark roasts (not not not Pike!), but I really love the roasts I do like, and they are almost exclusively the only coffee I will drink, except for hot or iced Americanos if they don’t have a drip dark I like on tap, but it was worth a try. It was even my first order with the app. ~What a day~
Got myself out today for free cold brew (thank you, Star Rewards) and attempted sweater knitting. Got some more stockinette done after taking the photos.
Something to feel better by when I am upset by all of the things that might be finished, might be frogged, might be left in various places to languish for who knows who long...

Started as a scarf to try the stitch, but it seems to want to become one of two side panels for a sweater, with a gray stockinette front and back, with the bottom ribbing made by the first four rows of this pattern throughout (but in gray for the gray parts). Arms could be gray or navy-and-gray striped, with cuff ribbing that extends down the hands because cozy.
And so begins a super quicky project. An Octopus for Lilblueboxox.
Very much looking forward to seeing this. At some point I would like to venture out into things beyond accessory clothing (starting with a few bags, I think, but moving on to "regular" clothing and some stuffed things).
