The Snoma Nurturer!

In happy villages filled with children and adults of cheerful spirit, it’s not uncommon that rather than calling in adventurers to deal with Snomas -the locals simply indulge the creatures’ playful nature and start snowball fights. As the Snomas grow closer to the villagers, that they previously randomly pelted with flurries of snowballs. Over time, they become quite reasonable, even tame and helpful, slowly gaining an understanding of emotion and the meaning of words, allowing them to follow simple instructions. They essentially become part of the village.

When this happens and the Snomas are given a place of their own or shown consistent care, they eventually merge into a Snoma Nurturer, an immensely strong guardian whose priority is to protect the villagers who cared for it, or whatever it was originally assigned to guard, whether that be a silo, a yard, or a humble farmstead.

These Nurturers are capable of performing tasks and fully understanding humanoid languages. They help with chores such as feeding livestock and tending to animals. However, it is always a bit melancholy when the snow begins to melt and the Snoma Nurturer fades away. Yet, if you keep the same clothing you once gave it and offer it to the next Snoma that appears the following winter, it seems to return as the same Nurturer, or perhaps one that simply carries its memories.

The Eldarchiver A patron suggestion creature, I used a lot of chalk and colored pencil brushed to make this fella, I really liked how I could use free to use stock images of the milkyway and other constellations even tho its hard to see on the skin! Some of lore ramblings:

When the accumulated passion of creatures who adore and hoard knowledge, such as Binders, Dragons, and simple librarians, passes along with their mortal bodies, at times a small spark of pure joy for learning remains drifting through existence. When enough such sparks accumulate, an Eldarchiver is manifested into being. These unique creations are neither undead nor ghosts, but something else entirely, more akin to an elemental of knowledge and learning.

The Eldarchiver resembles a humanoid form; however, other creatures sometimes perceive them as a shape more familiar to themselves. For example, reptilian humanoids might see a multi-bodied reptilian figure instead of one resembling other humanoids.

Monster: Emberleon (CR 1/2, Small Beast)

Before the infermeleon scorches battlefields, it starts life as this ember-scaled ambusher. Found basking near lava vents or curled up with fire elementals, the emberleon blends into molten rock and strikes with a blazing tongue that sears through steel.

Your party sets camp near volcanic ruins. The night is still, save for the faint crackle of stone when the campfire suddenly blinks and the glowing embers turn out to be hungry eyes lock onto the cleric's gleaming shield or the fighter's sword. Who reacts first?

Monster: Infermeleon (CR 3, Medium Dragon)

The infermeleon is what happens when an apex ambusher takes a long walk through molten rivers and comes back breathing fire. Literally. This draconic behemoth hunts anything wrapped in metal, striking with a flaming tongue and tail snaps that shake the ground.

Imagine your party crossing a cracked volcanic basin when the ground shudders and, suddenly, smoke coils from the rocks, and glowing eyes lock onto the paladin in full plate armor. How do they survive?

Tentacle Monstrosities arise from alchemical experiments gone awry, arcane conjurations, and ritualistic summonings-various magical processes that give rise to creatures with multiple appendages. These beings experience an uncontrollable growth of tentacles, often triggered by incidents like a shattered vial of mimicove, summoning rituals involving colossal squid-like entities, or even the detachment of a tentacle from an eldritch beast.

These monstrosities typically desiccate, dematerialize, vaporize, or decay within a span of days. However, a select few defy mortality and wreak havoc, possessing the ability to continuously expand until their mass surpasses the limits of supportability. If intelligence dawns upon them, they compensate with arcane prowess. In these dire instances, the realm in which such a creature resides might be inescapably doomed.

Conversely, these monstrosities could be conjured with benevolent intellect, potentially leading to the birth of a new deity. In more frequent and plausible scenarios, they manifest as adorable squid-like homunculus creatures-perfect companions for moments between potion brewing, offering amusement and interaction.

Regardless of their alignment and nature, these monstrosities possess the potential to pose both physical and magical threats based on their formidable abilities. However, those that endure over an extended period are best eradicated swiftly in a single decisive action. This approach is warranted by the fact that if they gain intellect, they could glean insights from prior confrontations, adapting defensive strategies such as emulating weaponry or spells to enhance their self-preservation.

So, whether you’re a daring cook, a curious alchemist, or perhaps just a misguided conjurer, it’s essential, for the sake of the realm, to stick to the recipe book unless you truly grasp the intricacies of your actions.
