TOTAL SUCCESS!!! LUR-1, THE FIRST 100% BASQUE SATELLITE, ESTABLISHED CONNECTION WITH EARTH!

After the rocket launch that took place yesterday, Basque scientists have been able to establish connection with the Basque micro-satellite today, proving it's a successful mission!

Lur-1 - Earth-1 in English - was 100% designed and built in Euskadi. It weighs only 57kg and is now orbiting Earth at 7km/s. It's designed to have a working life of 5 years, and during this time it will send high definition pictures of the Basque coast and geography to follow their evolution. It's also equipped with a Basque invention called MICE, a system that allows the satellite to be fully desintegrated during re-entry to avoid space rubbish and be more sustainable. MICE has been adopted by the European Space Agency for all of their rockets and satellites.

Euskadi is one of the economies with the most healthy and growing space industry, which represents 5,4% of its GDP.

So you can compare, Spain's space industry is just 0,1% GDP.

Looks like the RWBY Youtube channel has been getting some work done!

(For context, the RWBY content on Rooster Teeth's Youtube channel is being moved to its own channel called RWBYOfficial)

This was how it looked when I took this picture on July 12th. Bare bones, just starting to transfer videos over.

And now, on July 20th!

They got an icon, banner, channel summary, and more content transferred over.

So far, I'm seeing all the Color Trailers + Character shorts, all Intros (it was only V6 and onward when I last checked), World of Remnant, and some of the Chibis/trailers/miscellaneous have now made the jump.

RWBY is back and we love to see it!

do people get that romance repulsion is a real thing. like i know that it is not a term that many people have heard but the kind of responses i see from people when i talk ab my feelings on romance sometimes… do people understand that it’s like. sometimes a real feeling of nausea that you can’t control. it seems to click for everyone that someone might be innately repulsed by the idea of sex or that someone might have a negative response to seeing romantic stuff because they want it really bad and it upsets them to see other people have it but the second an aromantic person has a negative response to romance that is not emotionally invested suddenly they are a supervillain only interested in kicking people’s puppies and personally attacking anyone who’s ever been in love
