Stability/Protection Spell (for someone else)
Stability/Protection Spell (for someone else)
Note: This seemed quite strong, and the spell was effective, though a lot of this was instinctual and was what felt right to me personally— feel free to change what you prefer. From what I’ve learned, intent is the most important part of any spell. A full view of the spell is below.
This spell was meant to be sent out to a specific person. Out of the blue, I got an uneasy feeling, and was afraid they would hurt themselves, which is why I impulsively decided I needed to do do this. [Note: They’re ok :)]
On that note, let’s start:
Ingredients:
1 basil leaf; 2 peppermint leaves; 7 rosemary leaves
A black candle; a green candle; 2 white tea candles
A small flame-safe chalice/container
Scrap of paper and something to write with
OPTIONAL: Intent is most important, so these are NOT necessary—crystals of your choice, which you feel would amplify your intent— they may be helpful if the recipient of the spell is not nearby, as it was in this case [I used citrine, amber, rose quartz, aventurine, and black tourmaline around the main spell site; amethyst, blue lace agate, and clear quartz to boost my own energy/abilities, as I’ll explain below]
Part 1: Sigil Composition
1. First, before lighting any candles or beginning the spell, compose a sigil of protection for the recipient.
The specific wording I used was: “[_NAME_] is safe, unharmed, and emotionally stable.” I was a little rushed, but the important part is to use what looks/feels right. I designed my own so it would be specific to the person.
Part 2: Beginning/Candle Work
2. Once your design is memorized, **cast a circle**, then light first the green candle, then the two small white candles, and finally the black candle. If you’re using crystals, make sure a grid is set up according to preference, prior to lighting.
The green candle is for success [of the spell] + healing & energy; the white candles are for amplification, purification; and finally, the black candle is used as the spell’s primary influence, for protection and absorbing negative thoughts and energy.
There are essentially two layers of spellwork at play here—on one side, I had the black and white candle and crystal setup, meant to increase the intensity of the main protection portion of the spell, and help me settle into the right wavelength. On the other side, I had the green candle, meant to hone the success/effectiveness of the spell. In the center, I had my main workspace, as well as the chalice/crystal grid (used later—where the spell is enacted and the energy is released into the universe). Essentially, the black candle setup represents the energies that I want powering the site of action (the burning sigil chalice).
3. With strong intent, draw the sigil on a piece of paper large enough to fold/roll herbs into, yet small enough to fit into your chalice after folding. Perhaps trace over the sigil multiple times, continuously repeating your intent.
Before drawing, I held my hand over the black candle, and focused on it’s energy flowing into me, allowing my aura to match it, and imagining it charging all of my actions. I let it’s energy flow through the pencil, into the sigil as I drew it. I also repeated the sigil’s original wording over and over as I drew.
Part 3: Sealing/Releasing Intent
4. Place your herbs over the center of the sigil, and roll/fold the piece of paper into a long skinny rectangle. It doesn’t have to be perfectly shaped, but your herbs shouldn’t be in danger of falling out.
5. Seal the skinny ‘envelope’ with the GREEN candle wax, to ensure success in your endeavor, and to bring out the healing energies of the spell. **MAKE SURE TO HOLD THE ENVELOPE OVER THE CHALICE AS YOU POUR THE WAX, ENSURING A GOOD AMOUNT OF WAX DRIPS INTO THE CHALICE itself.** Soon, this will help hold the paper upright as essentially a makeshift candle wick.
6. **BEING VERY CAUTIOUS** (I used little tongs/tweezers to hold the paper—it lights up FAST), light one end of the skinny ‘envelope’ with the flame of the BLACK candle, then plant it upright into the green wax of the chalice. Be sure to focus on INTENT.
The piece of paper should be steadily burning at this point. If you need to relight it, that’s OK, just keep your focus. The candle is burning and releasing your intent and the energy of the sigil into the universe, while the protective/healing qualities of the herbs enhance and strengthen the spell.
Part 4: Focus Chant/Intent
7. As the sigil/herb-pocket burns, repeat the phrase “For I pray, safe you shall stay” at least 21 times, ideally before the flame goes out. Even better if you are NOT counting how many times you repeat the phrase, but continuously chant it as the paper burns, until your mind is clear of everything else. EVENTUALLY, the little fire will go out. (It should burn for a long time, as the wax burns much slower than the paper—the more wax you have in the chalice, the longer the spell will burn for.)
8. After the fire goes out, take a moment to breathe, relax your mind, and steady yourself. Snuff out your candles, then close your circle and release any latent energy into the universe.
8. I disposed of the ashes by sprinkling them into a nearby creek— scattering them into nature would also work, or even by burying them in a houseplant.
This ended up a bit long, but it’s less complex than you’d think. If you have questions, message me!
