When the head politician arrives, you try and make small talk with him at first, ask him about his planet, tell him about yours, answer any questions he has, subtly suggest that his planet could be just the same, and that you won’t be pushing anyone out of their position. It’d benefit you more to keep him where he is, just he would work under you instead of at the top. It’d be more off his shoulders to be honest.

He tries to argue at first, saying that they'd be fine without you, but, it does seem like a good deal. And you're being so friendly about it. Not seeming to force anything at all. He asks what the catch is.

You dress yourself in your normal formal garbs, alot different from the casual outfits people would normally see you in. You place your silver crown on your head, clicking it into place around the inner curves of your smaller horns to keep it in place, and then look yourself over in the mirror. Your nail varnish is chipped and you have to redo that too, and once you’re done with each hand you dip them in the ice water to dry them quickly. It’s all like a leadup to an event. And it’s always alot more theatrical than it need be. But it gets you psyched up. 

Once you enter you meeting hall you’re a little early. But that’s fine. You can get one of your advisors to brief you some more on the state of their planet and all.

Arzoth explains how the planet isn't in the best shape. Their government is falling apart and their entire economy is failing. It would be in their best interest to give up power to you, but they're a proud people and will take some heavy persuading.

Your people were informed of your situation, and they'll be expecting to see the grub once it's able to leave the cave. You are their emperor after all, and this is a big thing. They're excited. But for now, it's time to go back to normal. There are a few things to do.

First things first. There's a meeting with an official from a nearby planet about handing over power.

If he doesn’t think you wouldn’t refrain from zapping his ass he’s so wrong. Although you’re pretty sure your brother prefers him over you. Funny that. You flinch pretty hard at the flick, and start growling under your breath. "Yes. Now kindly get the fuck off before I hurt you."

"Oh dear." You do in fact keep hold of his horn. In fact you do more than that, you scrape your nail down the outside of it, making a horrible scraping noise. "What about that? Can you hear that better than normal people?" Why are you even trying to get on his nerves again? It just seems like a lot of fun. You're 70% sure he wouldn't actually hurt you too badly. And you can deal with a little bit. It can be a secret.

Your general attitude is in fact you being a little shit. If he can’t deal with you right now, then he’s going to have a tough time with you. When he flicks you on the nose you grunt in surprise and your psionics spark around your horns. Pity you’re not allowed to use them on him. "Anyway whatever. I’m bored. What are you doing?"

Oh shit right, the powers. Yeah, you better not piss him off. You're pretty sure your boss prefers him over you, and you wouldn't stand a chance in a fight against him. Would have been fun to find out though. You pretend like you weren't just caught speechless and tap one of his legs with the back of your hand as you stand up. "I was doing paperwork. But it seems a certain someone decided I wasn't allowed to do that anymore." You take advantage of your position being higher than him (you're taller than him anyway, but whatever) and take one of his larger horns in your hand, flicking your thumbnail against the tip of it. "Are your horns more sensitive because of your psionics? I've always been curious."

You aren’t actually mocking him, it’s just how you are. It probably comes across like that though. "Not call me darling? You know, just as a start. We’re not on good enough terms to be using petnames." Just because you’re here and you’ve been flirting with him doesn’t mean you like him or anything.

You don't know him well enough to know his little quirks. You just think he's being a little shit. "Uh huh. Sure thing. Pet names aren't my thing anyway. I was joking. Obviously." You flick him on the nose just to be a little shit back. You are totally older and more mature than him.

You purr ever so slightly and lick at his bottom lip before pulling away. "Good start. But there are more spontaneous thing you could’ve done. That was kinda predictable." Actually it was really predictable, but you’ll let him off for now.

Is he, mocking you? How dare he. You dig your nails into his back and lean away from him slightly, but you're still quite close. "Well then, sorry to disappoint, darling. What can I do to make it up to you?"

You totally did have to sit on his desk. How else are you supposed to know he’ll pay you 100% of his attention? You shuffle so you’re sat on the edge more, one leg either side of him and rest your arms over his shoulders. "You ask so many questions all the time. Shh. Relax. Be more spontaneous. Like me."

"Spontaneous, huh?" Yeah okay, you can play spontaneous. You lean forward and up a little, resting one hand on his back to pull him down to you a bit and kiss him. How's that for spontaneous.

You head to your transportalizer, time to go pay your co-worker a visit. You’re just bored, and you’ve been talking to him alot, so, why not. You know he’s in the headquarters right now, you were just speaking to him. You need to put your stupid circlet thing on so people know who you are though. Even though it’s obvious from the blindfold. Whatever. You appear in the room and slump over to his desk, crawling up on it and sitting on all his papers like a needy kitten. "Hi."

Oh great, just what you need. That's a joke, you actually could do with some distraction from your paperwork. He didn't have to sit right on your desk though. You rest your hands on his thighs, then nudge at him to come little closer to the edge. "Hi." He's so great with words. "So what made you come over? And why were you so sure I'd be alone?"

You actually don’t give a shit about cookies right now. You’d rather just get this over with. "And another one." You point at his desk while you take the few pieces of paper from him, then shuffle through them. Pretty simple by the looks of things. You can get at least this one done in an hour at most. Maybe half an hour.

You shrug and smile, heading to the desk drawer and fishing out more papers. You staple them once you've got them all together and head back over, chucking the next set of papers onto his lap and sitting on the couch with him. You put your arms up on either side of the back of the couch, one behind him, and glance over the things he's looking at. "So. How long will it take?"

Well good. Right now I’m in need of some assistance in disposing of a certain couple of people.

And when I say ‘assistance’, I mean ‘here’s a file with the details’, have fun.

You’ll need to take out this woman. She was a runner up to your position. Obviously no contest since you made it and she didn’t. We don’t know as much as we’d like to, only that she lives in the city. You might need to watch her for a few hours and get her out in the open or something. She won’t know who you are. 

That was a fast reply by the way. I’m proud. You’re on your way to becoming my favourite. Don’t tell Eridan. He might cry.

Welp, looks like you finally got your request for cookies. You don’t bother taking anything with you to headquarters, you can always come back if you really have to head out that soon. You transportalize over there within five minutes and take a seat on the couch. He can come find you. You’re just going to chill here for a little. Long night.

You were only in the next room. Although cookies take more than five minutes to bake, so he won't be too happy to see you. You kick the door open and waltz over to him, hands on your hips and a disgruntled expression on your face. "So I see. Here." You wave the paperwork in his face.
