One of the first drawings I made, once I had a better understanding of Procreate, was following a ‘Star Wars:Rebels’ rewatch. Kanan and Hera’s relationship was beautiful. You could tell it had a foundation of mutual respect and trust, which made his sacrifice all the more emotional. At least for me. So, in my emotions, I was inspired to do a three-pane series based on Hera’s Seaon One quote on Hope.

Inspo from ‘Brontide’ by AnarchicWit. Here, we have Jaenara Targaryen (newly arrived from 132AC) gathering her things from her mount, Terrax, as she lectures him on how he so expertly navigated her 70 years into the future. Terrax, formerly known as The Cannibal, ignores his rider, preferring to nap. Baelor Targaryen watches as Jaenara climbs all over Terrax like a cat.

anon artsy art made fan art for Embers of Us and I am genuinely obsessed. The contrast?? The attitude?? Kat in full chaotic gremlin bunny suit energy vs Maekar standing there like a corporate final boss?? It is so painfully accurate it feels like they stepped straight out of my head.

Like you can literally hear the argument happening. The body language alone tells a whole story and I am not okay about it.

I will never get over people taking something I wrote and turning it into something this cool and tangible. It means more than I can properly put into words.
