So, I'm currently rewatching Wednesday and I have a few thoughts. I've been seeing quite a few people saying that Tyler and Wednesday wouldn't ever work out, and their main sourse of this claim is that in Addams Family Values she falls in love with a sweet, silly boy (which they think is JUST like Enid), Joel.
But the only reason Wednesday liked Joel is because he wasn't embarrassed or intimidated by her 'darkness', where in the show, Enid is SEVERAL times. Tyler never was either, which you could argue is because he always knew what was coming, but honestly I don't believe that.
Another argument people use a lot is that Wednesday wouldn't ever fall in love with a monster.. and I'm like... okay? Incorrect? You could say that same thing about her and Enid. Enid is a werewolf, but not a very strong one (though she will be soon since she's an alpha- but thats for another post I suppose). If anything, I think it'd make him more attractive to her. Like, when they were in the asylum and he said she "sensed the monster in" him and "fell in love with it". Why would they put that in if it weren't true? Besides the fact I think Wednesday would love being his master.
Another thing Tyler said is that him and Wednesday are both "black-hearted souls", which I think is untrue to both of them. Wednesday was always feeling repressed in her home, like she had to prove herself to her parents, to make herself better than them. Whereas Tyler was always around his drunk father, then groomed and assulted by Thornhill. They're not black-hearted souls, they're both wounded.
Anyways, I'll probably update this in the future, I'm a huge fan of all things Addams Family.
all daylight rings match in a way since they all need to be made from a lapiz lazuli stone :) caroline's is blue as well! and katherine's daylight necklace is blue too! theyre all made from the same stone which is why they all look similar.
omg anon, youre so right. I'm not that observant (clearly lol), thank you for pointing it out!! (Caroline's ring and Katherine's necklace below)
This season is already so good, and I'm only on episode 4. Elena is such a complex character, especially with her now being a vampire, I love her more than ever.
First of all, were at an all time Stelena high (with Delena bits and peices which, unfortunately I'm hating more than ever...)!!! Which, of course, I'm the biggest fan of. I love how Elenas and Stefans (and Damons I GUESS) daylight rings match (ill put the photos down below ^_^ ), theyre so cute and pretty.
I also love Bonnie so much as usual. She would literally do ANYTHING to make sure Elena's okay. Elena owes her EVERYTHING at this point. Bonnie chooses her time and time again. Everybody needs a Bonnie.
Elena has been such an interesting character this season. She's clearly fighting the inner vampire, struggling to accept that this was her fate, as well as dealing with the doppelganger curse. The scene where she was hunting a deer and she instantly started to cry... ugh shes so perfect. I hope she figures out her feelings for the Salvatore brothers soon. I do truly believe that she loves them both, I just think in the end, she'll pick Damon. They all deserve to be happy, I just hope it doesn't hurt Stefan too badly when it inevitably happens (bc it'll certainly hurt ME).
I have never disliked Damon more than in Elenas moment of weakness, him telling her to feed off of him. If you've read my previous reviews of this show, you'll know why.
Rebekah saying "No one will ever sit around a table telling stories about a man who couldn't love." to Nik seriously made me feel proud. I'm SO sick of everyone manipulating Rebekah, her weakness is clearly love. Becca, PLEASE find me. I'll love you for real.
Okay, I super duper enjoyed this season, but I didn't write a lot down so I'm pretty much going from memory (forgive me if I forget a big part).
I loved the fact that they finally gave us a little glimpse into Damon and Stefans past. Why Stefan is called the Ripper, why Klaus is lowkey obsessed with him... I loved it.
At first I was so confused why Rebekah was allowed into the boarding school, seeing as it was in Elena's name but found out later in the season its just because Elena had died and it broke the contract.
Jeremy cheating threw me for a HUGE loop. I dont give a fuck if it was with a ghost. It was someone he had been dating when she died, he could touch her, talk to her, etc. So... pretty much a human. I loved Anna's character so much, and yes, I blame Jer for the whole thing. I thought it was so insane that Bonnie was telling her DEAD granny that she loves Jeremy so much that she'd be abandoned by all the witch spirits just to bring him back from the dead, while Jer was actively making out with Anna's ghost... EW!
It makes me so sad every single time someone betray's or messes in Rebekah's face. Like, when Elena put Esther's necklace around her neck and then LITERALLY stabbed her in the back. I was SO mad for her. She genuinely just wants to be with someone who likes her for who she is reguardless if its Damon, Elena, or her brother. She just wants to be loved.
Stefan FINALLY getting his emotions back and saying "I love her, Damon." And then Damon's bitchass saying "So do I." ... I fear Stefan had his claim first OKAAYYY???? I love Damon, and I want him to be happy, I just don't want him to be happy with Elena... don't sue me.
Every time we see Elena from Damons POV, I get so SO depressed. He genuinely believes that Elena is an angel sent from heaven. Example: when Rebehka was torturing him and she gave him a dream of Elena saving him and she had a halo-like ring around her head...
I really like Caroline and Klaus... don't kill me. She's just so perfect and beautiful and kind... She's been tortured SO many times, she deserves someone who will protect her no matter what. No, I obviously don't think Klaus is the best person, but neither is Caroline.. she killed someone and loved it. I think he could challenge her, and vice versa. Maybe she can make him a better person.
I really loved Ric's vampire moment this season. The thing with the rings is SO cool. I just really hope none of it happens to Jer, I dont think that I could go through the heartbrake of one of them dying again.
Elena and Stefan moment at the end of the season was beautiful. "I dont have anyone anymore." "You have me." They are ment for eachother and no one can convince me otherwise.
CURRENT PREDICTIONS: I think Jeremy will become a vamp hunter or a teacher just like Alaric... it just makes so much sense to me. My other prediction is that Alaric will come back to life as a human (< maybe wishful thinking...).
hiii guyss!! I've only been this excited for a second season a few times, so i'm very happy right now! I'm currently on episode 4, and I already have some thoughts on it!!
So, first of all I'm so happy we're finally seeing some humanity in Damon. As you all know, I'm a litttttle bit of a hater (promise I'm easing up lol)... but right now, in this episode, we're seeing a little bit of how Katherine messed with him. I mean, she's so obviously in love with Stefan (at least in 1864, I currently cant tell if that's real nowadays.. we know she's a manipulative bitch so I honestly don't trust a wordddd she says), and I'm for the first time genuinely upset that someone is messing with Damon. We can clearly see that back in the day he's just a sarcastic, lustful, funny kid, who just so happens to be infatuated with the same woman as his brother.
Which brings me to my next point, I do unfortunately believe that Stefan is still in love with Katherine, even though I also believe he's in love with Elena too. I think Stefan's love is heightened with the way he is now. As he says, vampires feel everything as if it's supersized. So, when he saved Elena from the crash and realized she looks like Katherine, he stalked her to try and understand who she is. But Katherine and Elena are completely opposites, I mean... Elena is a pretty good person from my perspective...
Current predictions: They're currently the same as last season, I believe that Alaric will stay in Mystic Falls (for a while now anyway... i love him and Jenna), and I do think that Tyler will turn into a werewolf. I also think Mason Lockwood will die somehow soon... I hope not, but I think his character is just a plot point for Tyler to find out who he is and not a reoccurring character. I also think that the moonstone is sort of like Damon, Stefan, and Caroline's rings, I think it'll reverse the whole turning into a wolf thing.
Anyways, those are my thoughts for now! (4/17/26 S2 E4 19 mins in)
___
hii! here with an update. This season is already so freaking good and juicy!!! Like, I was not expecting Katherine to be dating Mason, I thought he was better than that. I don't really think he loves her, though, I think he most likely just is attracted to her because she's wiser and she knows how to lift his curse.
I'm currently watching as Liz manipulates Caroline into letting her out without compelling... at least that's what I think is happening. I LOVE Liz and I LOVE Caroline, I've always wanted them to get along, even if it is most likely fake.. I hope it isn't. Caroline is such a complex character, and Liz really just wants what's best for her daughter, which in her mind might just be death, as Damon and Stefan's father thought.
Those are my thoughts for now, though I might update in a bit... (4/18/26 S2 E6 32 mins in)
___
hiii! I have some more thoughts already, since im in a new episode. This one was VERY eventful.
I really wish I was watching as this show was coming out, every time Elena's in danger I just think "okay, either Elena is being turned into a vampire or she's gonna be fine."
I'm LOVING Elena and Jer's relationship expansion... the little kiss on the cheek when he found out she's safe omg... sweetest little babies EVER by the way. Along with Stefan and Damon's... Stefan apologizing for turning Damon.. saying that really he just needed his big brother.. I'm sad.
On the topic of relationships, I'm not a huge fan of this sudden Bonnie x Jeremy ship.. to be honest, I would love an enemies to lovers situation with Bonnie and Damon. I think Jer needs a good while to re gain his emotions, especially with him finding out about everything and with BOTH his ex girlfriends being torn away from him because of their vampiricness (thats not a word but you get the point.)
I am sooo freaking upset at Damon's love confession to Elena. I really, really hope he can move on. He's really been growing on me but I just don't see them together. Damon was CERTAINLY feeling guilty after Stefan's apology for turning him (when he was basically like 'wow i was a dick, but i selfishly just needed my big brother).. especially when he was like "I don't deserve you, but my brother does." AND THEN HIM FREAKING CRYING!!!!! #depression. His obsession with her is getting SO bad, he genuinely does deserve someone just... not Elena. Like, when she was running down the stairs after she was attacked to hug Stefan, and Damon thought she was running down for him, the lighting behind her being almost heavenly to show just how highly Damon thinks of this girl. Its so upsetting. Predominantly because of the Elena/Katherine parallels. When Damon came into Elena's bedroom the first thing she said to him was "Damon, I'm tired.", JUST like Katherine did after Stefan's first love confession in 1864.
I'm also loving the cannibalistic esque love with Elena and Stefan right now where he's becoming stronger just by drinking a bit of her blood a day. It's so unexpected from Elena, but I'm kinda obsessed.
I like the route they're going with Tyler's character development. The entire first season, everyone was like "yeah, okay he's just a dickhead." But now he's so much more than that. I love his wolfiness.
I'm so glad Bonnie still has descendants that are witches. The little trust hold they did was sooo cool.
Some miscellaneous thoughts i have written down:
Katya the drag queen and Katherine have SUCH similar names.. like Katya got hers from Russian Gymnasts that she likes (Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova) and Katherine's being just a Bulgarian name (Katerina Petrova). If anyone knows if they're really connected please do tell.
I'm trying to tell if Liz was really compelled by Caroline... like I can't tell.
Thats all for now!! I'll update soon!! (4/19/26 S2 E8 0 mins in)
____
hi guys! I don't have many thoughts today, but I wrote some stuff down in hopes of rebuilding a train of thought.
I thought it was kind of cool that they gave Katherine a little bit of a backstory. Now at least we know why she's so attached to Stefan. Honestly, I do feel really, really bad for her. I wish she'd have been able to keep her baby, maybe then none of this would've happened. Then again, if she had there wouldn't be a show.
Whenever someone asks me why Stefan is my favorite and I'm like "Isn't it blaringly obvious??". Stefan's biggest weakness above all (except maybe Elena) is being too compassionate. Obviously, its changed over the years for the better. He's always putting other people first, and I love him for it.
I have to quickly update on my feelings about Jer and Bonnie.. they are slowly but surely growing on me.. I mean, maybe it's because they fall under a scandalous genre.. but I don't know, maybe I'm kind of into them (I still definitely ship Bonnie and Damon though).
Also, Damon is finally growing more human (though he reversed it at the end of my final ep of the night), and I freaking love it. Him slightly falling in love with Rose, then his denial about it, and then killing her just to make her not be in pain anymore.. elite cinema.
Last thought of the night being about Tyler, his actor (michael trevino) deserved so many awards for his turning scene.. it was visually pleasing, his facial expressions were SO perfect for the emotions he was trying to convey. He's a great actor.
Anyways, that's all for tonight! I'll watch some more tomorrow.
_______
Okay, I've finally finished season 2, and I've written down all my thoughts... slightly.
First of all, I hated the Caroline torture scenes. She's literally my little princess. Leave her alone!! Like, the wolves kept shooting her with wooden bullets just to torture her, then Tyler stood by and watched as Stefan and Damon were almost killed (luckily they're fine). And then he had the audacity to be confused when Caroline is upset... right.
Jonas Martin shouldnt have been able to take Bonnie's powers.. why are they allowed to do that? I thought it was taking from the balance of the universe...?
Also, everything with Niklaus really confused me. Like, how could he possess Ric's body? Why was he allowed into Elena's house (+ the boarding school, also technically Elena's place) while possessing Alaric? So confusing.
All I have written down here is "Bamon moments"... no clue what I was talking about, but I love.
Oh my gosh, Bonnie's death scene was so fab. The sparks flying around her, her dramatic turn to look at Elena before falling... QUEEN.
Damon forcing Elena to drink his blood before the sacrifice really fucked me up to be honest. Like, we all know shes been willingly feeding Stefan her blood for a while at this point, a metaphore to love in cannibalism ("represents an all-consuming, intense desire for absolute union, where the boundaries between two people disappear" -google lol), and then Damon completely forced her to drink his so she'd stay alive (which, we know now she'd be fine reguardless). We all know the Salvatore brothers are selfish, but Damon is completely and utterly selfish, genuinley it consumes him.
Jenna's death wasn't just brave, it was so beautiful, like a monument to how much she loves Jer and Elena. She had only learned of vampires a little while prior, didnt know almost anything about them and then she was turned into one and was sacrificed for something that failed. She deserved so much better.
Although sometimes I am a Damon hater, I really appreiciated the scene where Elena died and he immediately carried her body to a hurt Stefan, knowing thats where she'd be most comfortable, and probably to give his brother a little peace of mind.
And lastly for this season, I loved the final scene with Jer and Elena. "I'm so sorry you've lost so many people." ... "I still have you." Just elite cinema, theyre my little perfect babies who do no wrong.
I loveee this movie, by far its my favorite out of the series. It's so fun, so creative and serious (sirius) at the same time. It speaks on real world issues while still being completely on it's own track. How on Earth could someone so bigoted write something so beautiful.
Anyways, into my thoughts and my points. Isn't it ironic that during the scene with Fred and George take the age potions, one of them says, "I'll rip off your ears!". Right.... the one and only time they'd ever see each other grown old.
Minerva McGonagall deserves everything ever. Along with Neville and his fancy dance shoes. And Hagrid.
Rita Skeeter would totally use AI in the modern day, don't you think? With that quill that writes for her lolll. Omg and Dracos slurty faux fur hat killlllsss me.
Harry picking the Hungarian Horntail as his dragon is extremely ironic. A dragon that symbolizes maternal protection, supreme danger and untamable power... gosh its so good.
Hermione genuinely carries every single harry potter piece of media on her back. ALWAYS taken for granted by everyone, especially Ron. I suppose she got her payback, dressing so beautifully for the ball... while Ron looked.... questionable.
I love this movie cinematically, especially the Black Lake scenes, Harry growing gills and fins. Soooo cool. I love the kelp, and the way they designed the merpeople. Krum being a shark is just so hilarious to me, especially when his head turns back to normal. I also love the scene with the Phoenix in the background and all the licorice snaps. The scene with Igor convicting BCJ... its so perfect. The scene where Harry and Tom's spells collide.. perfect.
I hate to sympathize with the government (lol), but I always feel horrible for Barty Crouch Sr. He really did lose his family, AND noticed his only son was plotting on Harry, pretending to be Moody. Then was killed by him (as a marauders fan this always kinda makes me laugh in fanon).
I love the scene where Dumbledore is introducing the contestants for the maze, watching how the crowd reacts. For Krum, they were loud. For Harry and Cedric, they were proud. For Fleur, they were polite, clapping instead of shouting. Its such a nice little detail.
Krums wand is exactly how you'd think it'd be. Literally just a stick.
When Harry and Ced are fighting to get to the cup I'm just like... yeah, y'all are gay. Harry going back for him when he could really just send the sparks up... gay. "DON'T TOUCH HIM!" Woah... gay.
Seeing Voldemort look like a little baby HAD to make Harry giggle jusssst a little bit. Imagine at your grown age of 68 having an enemy thats a 14 year old... oof. Saying "I can... touch you.. now.." and then grunting in a childs face... yikes they played.
Oof and the scene where Barty rats himself out.. his face melting and then David Tennant coming out looking the best he ever has... wooo...
That's all for now! As always, if I have any further comment, I'll edit this post! Byeeeee!
hiii guysss! I'm currently watching The Vampire Diaries for the first time (i'm on season one, episode twelve so dont spoil) and I have some thoughts. Honestly, I believe no one would like Damon if he were ugly. He's mean, snotty, a killer, and overall a weird dude. There is no way in all hell you could pick him over Stefan, who is kind, funny and has that brood-y Edward Cullen esque to him.
Obviously, I understand that Damon and Stefan are traumatized from their past, and that Damon is in love (or thinks he is) with Katherine.
I will say, this show is making me laugh so hard. I understand that it came out (the book, not show) came out before twilight, but someone definitely took some inspiration lol. Whether it be Catherine Hardwicke or Julie Plec, i dont care its funny. "How long have you been 17?" "A while..." Versus "How long have you...?" "I've been 17 years old since 1864."
Also, up until now I didn't realize what Bonnie meant by 81422. It's so cool they added a little extra to her storyline. (8th building, license plate 14, parking spot 22.)
My favorite characters right now are Jeremy, Matt and Lexie (rip queen). Current predictions: Alaric will stay in Mystic Falls, him and Caroline will find love. Caroline and Matt won't stay together, he's said several times that he doesn't really even like her (not too much on Caroline now, Matt).
ok bye any spoilers and im blocking you (with love)!
UPDATE!!
HI guys I'm still on s1 (rip to me fr) e22 i think. anyways who was gonna tell me that anna dies?? I'm so freaking upset. I loved her and Jer so much!! I'm so happy Jeremy failed at turning into a vamp, thats not in his cards... yet.
Current predictions: Tyler is definitely a werewolf with those eyes... and it sounded kinda like a dog whistle when John played the OG John's music box device. I'm sooo excited, this show is so interesting... Also, hello Katherine! I didn't expect her for another season or two but here she is.
I'm still a Damon hater for now, but I sense a redemption arc so that's cool... i guess... I still don't want him with Elena though. he pisses me off with that. Obvs I know its a love triangle or whatever, but I rebuke, okay? It's just sooo unrealistic. My sister and I are watching together and we agreed that this can't happen in real life, its just not possible... the love triangle between siblings part but not the vampire, werewolves, and witches part (which I guess are real in a way, in my opinion lol).
Thats all for now, logging off! I will give my last update when I finish season 1 (which I believe is rather soon...). Okay, love you!
First post! Hello! I'm not gonna disclose a name on here, just call me anon. I watch movies for fun, I had many thoughts about The Black Phone 2, so I thought I might share them. DISCLAIMER: I am not a movie critic, this isn't my job.
First of all, I'd like to say that this movie was wonderful. The cinematics were just perfect, the glitches, the blood and gore, the dreams. Finn being addicted to a substance I'm sure he heard could make him forget, denying he's like his father even though he knows he's acting similarly. Gwen's distain shown through just a bit for her dad, allowing us to see that really no one has forgotten about his past behavior (something I didn't forget either, god I hate him).
Now, we know that Gwen and her mother have similarly witchy substance to their "powers", I wonder if theirs differ. As far as we've seen, Gwen can't reach anyone without her loved ones. In the first, Finney was with The Grabber, he silently called out for her, and in this one her mother called for her to finish a job she couldn't. I wonder if Gwen's mind subconsciously ignores others in danger, it'd be cool if we had a future story just about Gwen and her ancestors who had the same magic as herself and Hope.
I also want to touch on this quote from The Grabber, "“Want” isn’t even the right word. It’s more of an insatiable need. So, have you got it yet? No? Fine. I’ll just tell you, Finney. What I want is this. I want to hurt you in ways that you can’t even imagine.". As we know from the first film, The Grabber wanted Finn because he wanted someone to groom into compliance, he wanted to own someone, to have someone to control. "I want to hurt you in ways that you can't even imagine." was never really a threat to Finn, he thought he'd already been hurt the worst way imaginable, I mean, he was groomed. He obviously wasn't thinking of Gwen until her screaming.
It'd have been cool if we could've gotten more of 'Wild Bill's' past, not just that he was a little weird in camp and a great skater. How cool would it have been to add more humanity to him? They could've made Mando into the first version of 'The Grabber', then had flashbacks of him grooming Bill into becoming the next best thing. I hope they come out with something about his backstory a bit more. We know from the first film that The Grabber thinks of himself in a way of roles, so when he puts on the mask, he's not himself. Did he wear it during the original killings, or did he slowly just add on to this specific role?
I feel as if they never should've added the bit where we learn that The Grabber was really the one to kill Hope, it would've added more to the story if she was just like Gwen; Christian, witchy, etc. Instead of pulling through, she had just killed herself, maybe in hopes of seeking heaven. I mean, she'd obviously know killing herself is a sin she can't repent, what's there to repent for? Her body has been soiled. I don't know, I just think it's an unnecessary bit they added just to make The Grabber seem crazier.
So, as we know, Hope and Bill knew each other. I feel like it'd be cool to see if they'd interacted back in camp. Maybe the reason that The Grabber chose Finn was because he looks like his mother. Maybe that's really why he showed Gwen that he was the one to kill her. Maybe he was in love with her, her children looking like her was just his little treat. Again, this would just be a little more creepy. He'd be too old for her but as established in the past film, he'd been groomed as a child, and clearly has continued the cycle. His first murder victims were the three boys, but who's to say that Hope wasn't his first victim in general.
Alright, that's all for now! If I have more comment in the future, I'll probably edit this post! I apologize for the mistakes in my writing, I'm writing this at almost midnight, and I've just finished this movie for the first time. I hope you enjoyed my little thoughts, I will try to post after every movie I watch! Okay, bye!
