Revolt!
The thing with loneliness is it doesn't exist when youâre in constant contact with people. But does constant contact with other really mean you are not alone? Social media is the cure and the curse. The desire to âstay connectedâ is one that was created by companies feeding off the souls of their members. The constant gratification someone gets by likes, favourites, upvotes, and retweets. These are ways these apps and websites give people a false sense of meaning. A way to say âI matterâ. You don't matter. Not to those people at least. We are all trapped in this never ending machine that lives off the peopleâs desire to be accepted, to be a part of something greater. There is nothing wrong with being a part of a community, but when you start to determine your self worth by your presence in that community it will do nothing but slowly lead to the decay or society as we know it.Â
