Updates on Fan Fic and Books
Alright, long post incoming!
First, some news on the GVH front! Welcome Caldera Bay will be finished by late March, or at least that's my intention. Second, I'm working on a project regarding a modern day story of the gang with a new addition who will be helping with the story's progression! This is just the start. To elaborate, WCB has been outlined completely since its inception, just needing to be written out.
On the other hand this new idea came across my discord when talking about the gang in a modern day appearance, given the game's ending happened as it would in reality! This modern story will still feature the gang as animals, designed by Maddie, check her twitter/bsky even getting Misty Roberts as a peahen for that glare! The siblings will be ravens, Trish the goat, maned wolf Reed and so on! You can check her page for the pics!
Now, onto a big announcement, for me I have published 3 books, and worked some on a free to read prequel for it called Twilight Wars. It's where the moniker Neltiar came from, with the main character Anorath Neltiar. These books were published between 2012-2015, and largely written beforehand, but I hit a difficult point with it. The more personal reason is, the person I originally began this with is no longer with us, and was long since gone before the first was released. It made it hard to come back to, this was one of the biggest reasons. But it has been 16 years since then
That leads to point two which is more obvious, continuing a story where you aren't sure how to proceed to the next part is difficult. I have cut the series down from a 12 book long series, to 9 and down to 7 in the end with the first trilogy, interlude, and second trilogy connected by it, however the interlude is my key problem, how to present? I was always dissatisfied with this and thus, never came around to a reasonable line of thinking of how to have the story written out in its entirety for a whole book, not because ideas weren't there, but because I wasn't satisfied with them. This is a fantasy world of magic and war, so what to do?
I'm still proceeding with this 4th book, and I have a better idea, but that leads to what I'll be doing on the side with this. I'm going to be opening my patreon and ko-fi up, and contribution for any content will remain low with additional being based on if you want to provide more. Content will include backgrounds on stories that were going to be written; primarily the incomplete prequel, detailed backgrounds on character lives, relationships and events, along with art released of these characters as time goes on including the first trilogy's main antagonist Seranade
All that being said, I do hope you'll all enjoy, and that you'll keep an eye on things going forward, especially with the release of my 4th Twilight Wars book, along with my 2 fics that will be side projects I intend to continue with less rush and more time commitment
