If I see one more person with internalised misogyny fetishising a non-canon mlm ship and labeling the canon female love interest as either a bitch 'getting in the way' or the placid helping hand for the two men to fall in love then I'm going to lose it (not to criticise mlm ships, or non-canon ships in general, cause they're fun in their own right, it's just so frustrating when they downplay the very real love that the characters have in canon just so they can entirely mischaracterise the women as evil roadblocks).
And you know it's never actually a matter of allyship, because you'll never catch them rooting for two women (unless they pull a ship out of their ass as a scapegoat to cover their misogyny when asked 'what about the canon female love interest?').
And don't even get me started on if that female love interest is a women of colour. The 'disposable black gf' is already in enough media (too fucking much, get rid of it please!), do we really need to add more in fandom spaces?
