Anthony nodded along to her reply. She really did well for a first timer. People would think reading lines is easy, but it really isn’t. You need to feel and express the character, not just be a robot reading what’s typed or written on a sheet of paper. “Yes I really do mean it. You don’t sound like a robot, or some school professor giving a lecture. You are actually speaking the words to me, not just reading them. You should really try out a few auditions. Even if they’re small roles, it’s always that foot in the door that leads to a career.”

Sara stood on the side of the road with her car, phone still dialling out. No one was picking up, and it was getting dark. “Come on, pick up!” She cried, running a hand through her hair. Her car battery was totally flat and something was steaming from the hood.

After a long, tiring day of filming Anthony wanted nothing more than to just get home and relax. Thankfully he didn’t need to drive today and had someone to pick him up and drop him off. They made their way down the long, empty road and Anthony couldn’t help but see the small stream of smoke in the air as they approached the stalled car. “Excuse me.. Will you pull over?” He said to the driver as they approached the lone woman standing on the side of the road. Once the car had come to a stop, Anthony stepped out and walked over to the seemingly broken down car. “Is everything alright? What happened?”

Anthony chuckled for a second before shaking his head quickly. “We are not, no. So she is fair game my friend.” He replied before giving Jayden a friendly wink.

Anthony exchanged lines with her, which thankfully was a big help. It made him look like less of a weirdo. If she wasn’t there he’d basically be talking to himself. “You’re good at this. Do you do a lot of public reading? You pronounce your words beautifully.”

“Hey, I’m just looking, am I not allowed to look?!”

“Of course! Look all you want!” Anthony replied playfully. Joking that he was the one being admired.

Anthony offered the man a friendly not. He understood completely what he meant. After all, it’s not like he had even seen everything himself and he’d been here for at least 3 or so more months. “This place has a lot to offer. It is definitely a nice change. I haven’t even gotten to see everything yet myself either.” He replied before chuckling softly. “Once you go to The Grind, you might not be able to live without visiting there at least 3 times a week. You have been warned.” He added jokingly.

“You could say that..” He replied before taking a second to think if he should talk to her about it or not. At the party she seemed to be one who was not really against the slave trade. Bringing up his views on the whole ordeal would more than likely cause an argument. Which was definitely something he couldn’t handle right now. “I just don’t think right now is the best time to talk about it though. It’s been a not so great day and I am too on edge about a lot of things.. I apologize..” He added, politely.

“A big part of it is also how I was raised.” Anthony replied with a slight shrug. “My parents always taught me to be humble and kind to others. Since I was bullied as a child, I know no one deserves to be treated badly. Making someone feel inferior or below you is a terrible thing to do.” He added with a slightly more serious tone.

Anthony extended his hand to her as he offered a friendly smile. “My name is Anthony, just Anthony, there is no need to call me sir.” He replied as he too a sip of his drink. “Mmm.. This is amazing..”

“Slow is good, take your time don’t worry.” Anthony replied with a smile. He was glad that she was going to check out his show later. Not because of the ratings or viewer count, but because she hoped she would enjoy his performance. “I really do hope you enjoy the show. It is a lot of fun to work on.” He added with a friendly wink.

After a good 5 minutes or so of debate on which drink he should get, Anthony decided upon the Strawberry drink which Aine had suggested. Once he picked up his order he walked around, trying to find a seat. It seemed as though the seat next to her was the only one open, but he felt like he might be a bother if he asked to sit with her. Maybe if he just sat down and shut up it would be better.  “I am terribly sorry.. but do you think I could share this bench with you?”

“I am on it, yes” Anthony replied as he smiled proudly. “I play one of the leading roles, it really is a ton of fun.” He added before looking at his script for the starting point. “Please do give it a watch and I hope you enjoy it. It is a lot of fun filming here.” He added before pointing out on his script where they could begin. “Right here will work just fine, thank you again so much for helping me!”

Thinking about that night made his stomach churn. It was the first night he’d learned about the slave trading that went down here. Needless to say, once it began, he made his leave. He’d told his agent about it and tried to leave Sterling, but his contract stated otherwise. “I did go to the party.. Yes..” The tone of his voice quickly spiraled downhill as he went from happy and cheerful to upset and sad. “But I really don’t want to think about that night.. I am sorry..”

“Oh I am very proud of what I’ve done.. But I just don’t want to seem cocky. I like it when people are down to earth, especially famous people. When I was growing up I got to meet a few actors and I really enjoyed it when they were friendly and kind. The stuck up one’s not so much.” Anthony replied with a chuckle as he shrugged a bit. “Do you think I am down to earth and friendly?”

“Aww that’s kind of you! Well thank you!” Anthony replied as he nodded his head quickly. “Well I better run off before a line builds up!” He added while looking over at the small shop. “Thank you again for your help!”

“Ahh yes I can imagine it is..” Anthony replied to her last comment as he nodded. “I do feel lucky, but I also don’t like to brag about it either. After all, it is still work.” He added as he began to look around the empty room, which had a wall filled with full body mirrors. “So do you come here often?”

“Hello there!” Anthony replied with a wide grin as he pulled open the empty seat. “Thank you, it feels good not having to play hide and seek for an open table.” He added with a quick chuckle before sitting down. “How is your day going?”
