THIS is the comic that has been banned
It was flagged as "Eksplicit", shadowbanned, and every reblog turned invisible. The flagging is also unappealable.
Happy Trans Day of Invisibility from your tumblr mods!
Only found out because I tried to reblog with an update from your local trans unicorn siblings!
I cannot even LINK to my old comic without every new post getting deleted.
And yet, we will CONTINUE to exist, and grow, and find each other. We will be visible up to and beyond our own deaths. Because we stand for love. We love ourselves and each other and that just makes us stronger.

Extracts from the...
...minutes of a Blakist ecclesiastical conclave, held June 3072, during the middle years of the Jihad.
"You make assertions with great confidence for somebody who I'm only refraining from declaring a heretic because of how that would feed your insufferable persecution complex." - Chaplain Domini Bihaniq Wuthers, Counter-reformist
"My view on the idea of a reincarnation of Blake is that the next person who suggests it be made doctrine be taken outside and shot. They can come back to us in their next life to continue the discussion." - Abbot Demiprecentor Rory Shapera, Toyamaist
"No! No, I refuse to maintain decorum! Brother Siwad did nothing but nod sagely every now and then for upwards of an hour, and is now fast asleep! I want him out of this room!" - Missionary Precentor Raul Zausu, Sixth of Juneist
"Not to be inelegant, but my logic for opposing your dogma largely runs that I counted the 'mechs in your entourage, and mine has you outnumbered by about three Level IIs." - Militia Precentor-Chaplain Sigrid Jauftry, One Voice Toyamaist
"Great movements have begun with just one soul who was called a blasphemer. I can't defile such an august title by applying it to what you just said. It's still stupid, I just refuse to give it the dignity of calling it blasphemous." - Liaison Demiprecentor of the League Zakar Hull, True Believer
"My fellows in faith, the pause I just took before I began was meant to demonstrate that ten seconds of silence from a wise man can be worth more than a twenty-minute statement from a- well, from my opponent." - Ministering Precentor Zao Wu, Counter-Reformist
"Siblings in faith- children of Blake all- quiet- I swear, I have lifted up my hand to Blake and sworn, I will personally excommunicate the next person who declares anyone excommunicated!" - Precentor Mother Faye Szelu, True Believer

There has to be...
...a mercenary outfit out there, at minimum one but there could be more, whose entire backstory- the reason they're here in the first place -is a midlife crisis. One morning a guy who did one tour as a MechWarrior back in his twenties spots an old picture and realizes that his hairline is in full retreat. Bam- that very day he's on the line dumping his savings for a few free agents who know the ropes in the business, and an entire Command Lance to pilot.
(Of course, the fighting force is probably his pub buddies, and they may or may not all get blown up in their first actual engagement, but either way the guy gets a new angle on life and aging.)
in absolute tears about the pride module at my work
HOLY SHIT GUYS, I WAS INSPIRED BY THIS POST TO TRY MAKE THE SONG AND YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE SCREAM I SCRUMPT WHEN I DRAGGED THE TRAINING AUDIO OVER THE BACKING TRACK AND IT LINED UP PERFECTLY
Tempted to actually put this on spotify so I can secretly stream it at work...
Tagging @batshit-auspol because as an Australian you're the only big account I know who might share (sorry).
Reasons for new...
...'mechs getting invented in Battletech (incomplete list):
We invented a new gun and it doesn't actually fit on anything we currently have, so we need a new 'mech to go with it.
Situation: there are five 'mechs competing to cover a certain role. "Let's make a 'mech dedicated to perfectly covering that role!" Situation: there are six 'mechs competing to cover a certain role.
Oh boy, we (traded for/scavenged/were conquered but got access to/simply stole/etc.) Clan tech, let's see what we can make with this stuff!
Hey, you know [attempted horrible prototype 'mech]? Let's make that, but better this time.
Hey, you know [perfectly functional 'mech made by another company]? We could totally [add/subtract] like, a quarter-ton of armor, change up the name, bam, our own new 'mech.
We've got a war on our hands, a tractor factory, several thousand tons of metal for prototypes and a dream.
We are running low on our stock of [good 'mech], let's build something that's about roughly kind of decent enough to pad out the numbers.
My uncle works for [state army] and he said I can build all the BattleMechs I want, so there.
We made a Superheavy 'mech! A Size 5! A titan of war! Yes it's very practical and actually worth the trouble it takes to deploy it instead of just about twelve regular-sized 'mechs, really, I pinky promise it :)
You see Perry the Platypus, when I was a young boy in Gimmelshtump, the infantrymen would always bully me. Every day they launched their little rockets at me and stole my lunch money and said, "oh, there goes the 'mechjock, there goes the tin can brigade!" And when I stomped on them they would make the least satisfying sounds- you know how, like, with leaves, you always except a very nice sort of crunch but sometimes it's just like a- a- [platypus sound] -yes, exactly, words right out of my mouth! Anyways, it was like that. Now, with my Infantry Obliteratinator 3,151,000, it is I, Perry the Platypus, who will bully every infantryman in the pan-Successor-State Area!
The outfit's record...
...baffled Sea Fox analysts when it was finally called into question after a routine list inspection. Standing Stone Solutions had never been high on the rankings, but their logs told a story absurd for any mercenary group. Zero combat victories, zero combat losses, zero campaigns fought in. Zero 'mech losses, zero confirmed kills. Their listings said they had no BattleMechs available for deployment...and also no infantry.
This anomaly of statistics led to a delegation being dispatched to track down the unit, and find out just what they were doing- because despite their non-extant combat record, Standing Stone had been pulling in contracts, and not at the worst rate. The report came back, after a few weeks, and surprised even some of the most experienced mercenary managers in the Khanate with what had been found.
As it turned out, registering as a combat-capable mercenary unit (albeit with a null recorded combat effectiveness) was an excellent way for a completely mundane construction and plumbing company to bypass a lot of laws on permits, taxes, and code regulations. The Sea Foxes only permitted them to stay on the lists if they registered themselves as specializing in 'fortifications and combat engineering', although their redoubts and bunkers look an awful lot like townhouses and condo towers.
Cockpit charms.
Metal tears, or mech melt. Easy to find on most battlefields, it's just molten plating that's hardened again into irregular lumps of metal. Charm for damage, but also a charm against overheating.
Kill shells, or kill discs. Easy to fake but hard to find the genuine article (because it tends to be mixed in with a bunch of others). The shell from a lethal shot against an enemy 'mech, sometimes the whole thing, sometimes just the base of the shell (the 'discs'). Charm for accuracy.
Lifesavers, or pen plate, or stopshot. Hard to find, most likely to be in the scrap pile of a hangar. A piece of armor plate with a round stuck inside of or through it. Charm for tough armor.
Escape shrapnel, or eject scrap. Hard to find because it consists of cockpit shrapnel that ends up stuck in an ejecting pilot. They seldom want to part with it and in some cases medically cannot. Charm for a smooth eject.
Blind eyes. Shards of glass from blasted searchlights. You won't get them without shooting it out; 'mech-grade searchlights have tough covers. Charm for situational awareness.
Underfoot, or metal crush. A chip of the foot grip surface of a 'mech with the metal from another one it Death-from-Above'd stuck to it by sheer pressure. Charm for steady footwork and good jump landings.
Miracle metal, or lucky duds. Metal scrap from missiles that hit a 'mech or tank but failed to detonate. They get rarer the better missile systems get, unfortunately. Charm against infantry rocket launchers or missiles from enemy 'mechs.
More cockpit charms.
Reaper blades, or close calls, or close shaves. Hard to find- very hard, because it requires a very specific circumstance. Chip of a 'mech-scale blade that managed to get your blood on it when it cut through the cockpit. Charm for luck in close-quarters combat.
Crossbones, or little miracles, or one-in-a-millions. Very hard to find. A pair of autocannon rounds that collided mid-air. (More common: 'false crossbones', an autocannon shell punctured by another that hit the target's ammo stores.) Charm for accurate fire.
Inaugurals, or first bloods. Finding them can genuinely be a matter of politics: scrap from the first 'mech wrecked in any given war, often a matter of dispute, either because of the specifics of what a 'war' was at that point, or the lack of specifics on when it started. Charm for reflexes and speed.
No-mercies, or murder markers. Fragments of an ejection seat shot out of mid-air. Easier to find than anyone can live down. Not a charm per se; more a reminder, or talisman for restraint. If somebody palms one off to you, you've disgraced the outfit.
Footsores, or Long John Silvers. Chip of a 'mech foot that stepped on a landmine. Easy to find, because an abundance of metal chips are generally all that's left. Charm against mines, traps and bridges that don't support a 'mech's weight.
Fair-trades, or fightscrap, or knuckle scrape. Metal of another 'mech's battlefist that lodges in your own 'mech after taking a blow, or vice versa. Pieces of 'mech-scale blades also count, it just has to have gone through 'mech metal. Charm for tough armor.
Flatfeet, or scramblers. Hard to find due to rare circumstances. Specifically, a mounting handhold from a 'mech you shot down before the pilot got in. (Thus usually found in raider or flanker units that might hit an enemy base without warning.) Charm for a quick start-up, or for unlucky enemies.
