remaking this blog ! purely because i hate my tags, i’ve made them... complicated and i can’t keep up, when i’ve set shit up i’ll let ya’ll know. this doesn’t effect threads !
# 𝙻𝙾𝙰𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 ... : TRIGGERBIGGER ... 𝙽𝙰𝙼𝙴 ⇢ ONCELER.
The Onceler is just barely able to restrain himself from scrambling over his desk in an effort to seize Aiden’s phone. Instead, he steps around it and starts to approach Aiden with slow and soft footsteps, as if he is trying to get close to a wild animal without startling it, all while wringing his hands together.
“Hey, now, you know what I mean,” he pleads. “I can… I can start things today, but depending on what it is, you might not—you know, you might not get immediate results is what I’m saying. ‘Cause I told you about… about the committees and stuff. So, what you want—overnight, it’s—well, you know, you know.”
He starts to reach out but then balls his hands into fists and holds them close to his chest. “Can’t we talk about this? Let’s just talk.”
A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE. as the onceler approaches, aiden takes a long stride back – it wasn’t rare to find pleasure and joy in these jobs, but tormenting the onceler was especially hitting a spot that hadn’t been touched since his early days of hacking, it was a reminder of why he started this in the first place – the hacker was a sadist, it was becoming abundantly clear the longer that this went on. something that his enemies most likely figured out, but it’s the first time the fox has really acknowledged it himself ❛ let’s talk ❜ it’s mocking, falling from lips as it hangs in the air like the pollution that surrounds them, humoured and stinging all at once ❛ how interesting. like how you heard those environmentalists, how you heard those below you, who work for you – pray tell why i should offer you any respect. give me a good enough answer, maybe your funds live to see tomorrow ❜ no promise on if they last to see next week, however – but he’d meet onceler at that bridge when he gets there.

“Doing alright, you know… meh and all that.”
“If you don’t want to talk about it, fine, but something should be done about it.”

“Alright well that was ominous and disconcerting.”
“Do you ever feel like we’re just existing?”
“Could you get off?”
“Hmmm… no I don’t want to do that.”
“We starting today with a game of twenty questions?”
“That’s a face you’re making. I don’t know what it’s called but you’re making it.”
“Saw that. Can’t hide that from me.”
“That could mean literally anything. Can I buy an adjective or something?”
“I don’t have the words to describe what this is but you’ll know when you see it.”
“All you got was unpleasant and was most likely the obvious problem in the room?
“Well that’s it, we’re lost.”
“Are you so tired that you ran out of a vocabulary?”
“Just… shh it’s a thing with… another thing on it… it’s yellow… I think.”
“I know someone. A ‘guy’ so to speak.”
“Huh, I didn’t know there was cute to be found.”
“Aren’t you… a person. An interesting person.”
“You’ll probably have to make me.”

it actually pisses me off sooooo much when characters are like "ohhh but if i hurt or kill the bastard who made my life and others' a living hell i'm just as bad as they are!" like grow up and shoot him what are you catholic

“–okay, um, well– I’m– I’m not a teenager. I–” As his voice CRACKS, how embarrassing. “I am a GROWN-ASS MAN. Spider-MAN. There is a MAN attached to the SPIDER-part.” He’s certainly not going to dispute the IDIOT part of the man’s argument because, let’s face facts, as book smart as Peter is, he is… also incredibly, ridiculously stupid. Eyes roll beneath the mask, and the young man stands, hands on his hips. “Look, SHIELD sent me. To help! Uh… I’ll– I’ll definitely stay out of your way, though, I promise. I mean, I’m– I’m back-up.”
AIDEN DOESN’T EVEN TRY TO HIDE THE EYE ROLL . what was it with private organization using child soldiers ? the way he seems to protest the very notion of him being young doesn’t help the cause, hands shoved deep in pockets, phone still wrapped firmly in left palm [ a habit he doesn’t exactly remember picking up ] - it’s never too far away, the way he mentioned shield being near by certainly doesn’t help, instantly straightening posture that little higher and clearly going on the defense ❛ no, go away, i don’t work with kids - i especially don’t work with private governments . so how about you go tell your boss, i don’t babysit, and do us both a favor and leave. ❜

It takes the Onceler a moment to catch up with what was said, but when he does, every last drop of color drains from his face. He slams his hands down on his desk, and he stands up swiftly, sending his red velvet desk chair to the floor with a loud clatter. His voice is a whole octave higher than normal. “You what?! You—”
He wants to say that Aiden can’t or that he didn’t, but there is a twinkle in the other man’s eyes that tells the Onceler he isn’t fucking around, that he can and that he already did.
He has seen TV, so he knows that you are not supposed to negotiate with people like this. But he also knows that Aiden could have every one of those accounts drained by the time he waits for the police to get involved, and he has expenses to meet. A lot of very big expenses.
He grinds his teeth together and asks, “What would you have me do, then? Keeping in mind that I can’t do anything excessively drastic.”
❛ NOTHING EXCESSIVELY DRASTIC, HUH ? ❜ he’s already typing away on the phone, thumbs rapid across the screen as they work their magic . this is the part of the job he absolutely adores, the ultimate goal is to have control - having it, and looking the person in the eyes while doing so, is a rush nobody else seems to quite understand . there’s a small little ‘hm’ made in the back of throat, continuing to consider the words - one corner of lips twitch up, hidden behind face mask, though it doesn’t take a genius to notice the smug aura that surrounds him ❛ how unfortunate ... if that’s the case, what if i just jump the gun and divide all this money among your workers ? this late christmas bonus is one that would make sure they never have to work again ... what do you think about that ? ❜
honestly i hate it when peoples analogy of aiden ends up being “he thinks he’s better than everyone else” when in reality, that isn’t the case ? aiden not only has a deep self loathing but is also dealing with survivors guilt, so as a result his emotions are numbed, he forced them to be that way, and while he feels more intently than anything - he can just control when to feel them, whether that be alone, or the few hours allows himself to just feel around people he trusts. but the point is, he never sees himself better than jordi - he’s constantly annoyed by people who joke and don’t take the situation seriously, if you note, early on in the game aiden did a lot of eye rolls and scoffs at the fixer, that because the situations he chose to joke just weren’t appropriate. but when you pay attention, later in the game he becomes more accepting of who jordi is.
by the time we meet t bone, he relaxes - you don’t notice ? the eye rolls lessen, hell, how are you people meant to say he feels superior to jordi when he was fucking heart broken that he eventually turned him for money ? you’re acting like ‘you wanna know the problem with you people ? you take yourselves too fuckin’ seriously!’ ( that or take things personally, its the same thing when you tilt your head ) - and those words hit him, just in his own way.

❛ FOR THOSE WILLING TO, YES IT IS ❜ hands are shoved deep in pockets as hardened eyes never budged from the others, of cause aiden was a strong environmentalist, in his youth all he did was target the companies that took too much from the earth . however, the older he got the more he focused on other things - sex trafficking, drug smuggling, humanitarian rights abusers that had the system on their side . looking at the very thing he used to fight against, chest couldn’t help BUT TWINGE . it seems aiden forgot his roots, seeing the devastating effect already taken place in the surrounding area, right then and there he decided that it was time to go back to them ❛ you have changed this forest in the matter of months since your business took off, RATHER EASILY i might add . so tell me, onceler, why isn’t it easy ? because you’d have to admit that you’re in the wrong, or because you’d realize that capitalistic greed is the reason mother nature has it’s eyes set on us in the most terrifying way ? ❜ for now, aiden has no problem being another hippie with a banner in the crowd, there’s no problem in understanding a target before knocking the down from their high horse .

A heavy sigh passes red lips as she swirls the liquid a few times in her cup. It had been much too long of a day in her opinion, between work and second work. Evelynn ached from the lack of sleep from the night before. (And before, and the subsequent nights for years.) Surely alcohol was the proper solution here, right?
