“Where are the trans men in history?” See. When you're born a gender that was forcefully married off, who had to live most of their life indoors, when you had to raise children, and had a lobotomy if your family thought you were a tad too odd, it's kinda hard to come out as a trans man now ain't it.
forever my lineage would use his wrong pronouns but not me
I’m not bioessentialist but half of nonbinary people are worse because of their assigned sex at birth
I don't get the whole thing about trans men not experiencing misogyny. We are not cis men. We are still oppressed under the patriarchy for being viewed (whether it be physically, socially, or legally) as female. Did I miss a memo or what happened I thought it was common sense that anyone viewed as female was oppressed under the patriarchy.
Can anyone tell the misogynists that they can't be misogynistic towards trans men/mascs? I think they also missed the memo...
A Waymo vehicle delivered two 15-year-olds, who were drinking alcohol and shooting small water beads out of the car, straight to police.
I'm sure it's totally fine and normal and great that the taxi spies on you and will just deliver you directly to the police :)
This definitely can't be something that would be used in an abusive or arbitrary way :)
Law enforcement for sure wouldn't abuse something like this :)
This was predicted in 2015
I got into the passenger seat. There wasn't a driver seat. But after two turns, something felt wrong: the self-driving Taxy was heading the
Really pisses me off when someone makes what would be a really good post about misogyny but then drags trans men into it, and wildly misconstrues their experiences to paint then as benefactors and/or perpetrators of said misogyny. And then when people (usually trans men) point out that what they're saying about trans men is not accurate and usually transphobic they start in on the whole "typical man you want to talk about everything except misogyny don't you". Like no, I would love to have a genuine conversation about the way misogyny has shaped out culture and the effects that has, you're the one insisting on shoving your head in the sand and refusing to listen to marginalized people about their experiences.
if you claim that masculinity is always rewarded, i will just assume you’ve never listened to women or girls talk about their experiences being even slightly gnc. women aren’t even allowed to exist in their natural bodies, with body hair and no makeup, without being socially punished for being masculine
gender conformity is what is rewarded. living in the strict box assigned with one’s sex is what is rewarded. being cishet and falling in line with the patriarchy is rewarded. masculinity is only rewarded in the people patriarchy wants to have power.
(and this isn’t even getting into the way race can play into it)
stating facts about my body is not misgendering myself
stating facts about my experiences is not misgendering myself
stating facts about how i have been perceived is not misgendering myself
transmascs not experiencing the overlap between misogyny and transphobia that transfems experience does not make them privileged over transfems, as they also experience an overlap of misogyny and transphobia that transfems do not experience
saying other group has set system privilege over the other is just untrue, and who is more privileged will depend on the circumstances
maybe if i isolate myself enough my desire for intimacy will go away
