“Did you hear that?” -maskovat
“Hear what?”
Lucifer cast a glance down at the peculiar figure. He cocked a brow as he turned to look at the other in full detail. Really, he’d not seen it all, apparently. The mask, the odd vestiments.
Of course he wasnt one to be calling another odd. He himself wasnt dressed to this century. The hounds circled around him, keeping their eyes on the peculiar figure before he king. They didnt growl, no, but made it very obvious they were wary.
Something strange twisted in Oskar’s gut. It was vile and gurgling, some strange mix of emotion that he could not quite name. This Lucifer fellow was certainly full of himself, that much he could tell, but the emotions such arrogance caused had no name. Not that Oskar had nevet experienced this before- the broiling in his belly was an old and familiar friend.
So he tilted his mask and let out another childish giggle as he withdrew his hand, “you must forgive me then, Lucifer, as I have never been a man of praise or absolution. I do not believe in sin- for why must a man be punished for taking delight in the pleasures of the world? Each man is the god and devil of his own self; he answers to the substance of his soul and nothing else.”
He stepped away, hands clasped once more behind his back. His mask turned ever so slowly as if taking in the office around them. Oskar was listening, listening and thinking, trying to wrap his mind around Lucifer and the way his decay rebelled.
“Tell me then, what is it that makes you stay amoungst your church when God has abandoned his people. Are you not the Enemy? Strange, that you should love a Creation you rebelled against.”
“Ah but you fail to see! I agree! Each man should not live in fear of his wants- his needs! We are all animals, we all have a carnal need we must attend to! I encourge this- I want humans to indulge themselves in any desire they feel! I’m not here to punish you when you crave the flesh- I’m here to punish you when thy cup runeth over and you taketh by force.”
He purred as he spoke, pacing and staring at the masked figure. His hounds followed closely to his sides. Their eyes bore into the stranger- these dogs did not trust him at all. He was wrong- he smelled wrong.
“I’m not the enemy here- you are in my house. I love my creations- the ghouls. Creatures of my own flesh- my heart and mind. Beautiful, they are. I love my followers- just as God loves his, however I do not instill a fear into them. I love what I rebelled for.”
“It doesn’t all have to be existential dread.”
“It doesnt, you’re right. However, if they werent feeling dread how fun would my life be? I can answer that for you- not very!”
Lucifer paced around dramatically, the black fur coat trailing behind him. He went around the lab of this odd individual, touching things he most definitely should not be touching.

Of course he wasnt one to be calling another odd. He himself wasnt dressed to this century. The hounds circled around him, keeping their eyes on the peculiar figure before he king. They didnt growl, no, but made it very obvious they were wary.
The penny dropped. There was no shift in his posture, no tilt of his head or shifting tempo of his rancid breath- no physical indication that Oskar had realized who he was dealing with. But surely there was some invisible shift, some string pulled taught as the realization struck him. Beneath the mask what remained of his face pulled gaunt in a cloying smile.
Was this man truly Lucifer? He certainly did not give off an air of humanity. Regardless if his claims were true, Oskar would play the game.
“What a pleasure it is to meet the Prince of Darkness, and under such pleasurable circumstances. And here I thought I would have to wait to meet you at the gates of Hell.” His voice was light and teasing- not skeptical, but playful.
He was not pleased, however, when Lucifer leaned in and kissed his hand. It was not that he gesture was not flattering- indeed, Oskar reveled in it. But to have a stranger so dangerously close, where no amount of perfume could mask his decay, made him uneasy. Oskar giggled and shook his head ever so slightly, playing the role of the coquette. In truth he meant to stir up the the copious clinging of his cologne to divert from the sicker sweetness beneath.
“You surely must be the devil, to be as charming as you are.”
“Charming is my job, dear.”
He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t picked up the smell of decaying flesh. He, however, was Lucifer! He was more than used to that smell- even found it enticing! This individual was..mysterious. This intrigued Lucifer.
“You’ll never have to wait for me if you call on me enough, my love. I hear all cries of my name. I hear all praises sang to me. I feel all hands reching out for me to take and hold. I see all beautiful faces that cry for absolution that only I can provide.”

“Exactly. Doesn’t this place feel strangely still to you? None of the hustle and bustle of a proper church. It’s like the parish is sleeping.” Oskar turned his mask towards the voice. It was a deep, pleasing sort of voice. He didn’t trust it one bit, nor did he trust the beasts that moved about on padded feet. Even beneath the cloying of his own stench, something about this situation smelled off. This stranger, whoever he was, made Oskar’s nerves crawl.
“Forgive me, darling, for not introducing myself. My name is Oskar. And who might you be?” He spoke softly, the dark eyes of his mask never wavering from Lucifer’s face. Beneath it he breathed deeply, slowly, trying to figure out what the smell of cinnamon and sulfur could possibly mean.
“Oskar.” Lucifer repeated the name as if he were testing the taste. The smirk that was painted on his face could be heard clearly as he spoke. The creature before him, the mysterious mask, the way he had his precious hounds in a tizzy unlike anyone else here. He was unsettling, and that was alluring.
“This church should never be considered in the same vain as a regular church of… God.” The pause reeked of disgust. “No. The ghouls have probably gotten in trouble again, or perhaps they’re all in bed like good little entities. Maybe the life you seek is hidden away in the underbelly of the church, or out in the graveyard…” He trailed off and took a step closer to the figure, the houds stepping out of his way.
“My name is Lucifer, it’s quite the pleasure to meet you, my dear.”
The little man listened intently, hands folded behind his back as he swayed. At the mention of God he could not help but scoff. If he only had eyes to roll- even his glass ones would not have been able to properly express his shared disgust. God. No, no, this was a house of the damned, and surely the man before him was as hellbound as he.
“The graveyard? My dear, that place is far too dreadful. Why-” he stopped as the hounds moved, his body tensed lest they be sought upon him. He could smell the man get closer. Another big fellow- the infernal church was swarming with them, it seemed. Oskar held his ground, mask never leaving the other, trying to maintain an air of casual grace.
“Lucifer? How fitting, darling. The pleasure is all mine,” he took a step towards the other, cautiously extended a hand, hoping he had estimated the distance between them correctly, “tell me, darling, what is a gentleman like you doing in a place such as this?” he tilted his mask towards the hounds, “and with such magnificent beasts as well.”
“A place like this? Does the spirit of the humans terrible God not inhabit their houses of worship? They do believe so- what type of infernal majesty would I be to not inhabit the house of my worship? They sing my praises in these halls, so I find it fitting that I walk them.”
Lucifer leaned down to pet the larger than normal dogs. He cooed at them before standing back up. “My hounds protect me here in the humans world. If I were to venture out, they’d give their life for me. They’re also marvelous companions! Guarding me here and in hell.”
Lucifer took the hand of the other. He was sure they expected a shake but instead he took it firmly and planted a kiss on the knuckles of the masked figure.

“Seems like a silly thing to say, don’t you think?”
“That would depend on who you ask. As I’ve said before..human emotion is a tricky thing. They’ll crumple over such a little thing, but perhaps it holds so much power for a reason.”
He laughs dryly, looking over at the doll with a half smile. His hounds stood at his side, forever guarding their master from any outside forces.
“Love. I always say it’s such a human emotion but....perhaps not. Perhaps you’re right, and it was silly to assume its limited to weaker beings. After seeing so many of my creations experience it, after feeling it myself. Now I understand why humans dedicate a whole day to love.”
“I wish it could always be like this.”
“You’re always there for me.”
“The stars are the only thing that makes sense.”
“There’s more out there, you just have to be patient.”
“It doesn’t all have to be existential dread.”
“You’re so much different when we’re alone.”
“I like it when the worlds quiet.”
“There’s a place for us somewhere.”
“They’ll name constellations after you one day.”
“Your hearts beating so fast.”
“They don’t know what they want.”
“You don’t know what you want.”
“That’s what they’re supposed to say.”
“We really don’t know what we’re doing.”
“I miss the old you.”
“Nostalgias a trap.”
“Aliens are out there.”
“Did you hear that?”
“I really want pizza right now, think it’s open?”
“What time is it?”
“But why would they abduct cows?”
“We’ll all be dead soon enough anyways.”
“I wish we didn’t have to sleep.”
“What do you believe in?”
“What happens after we die?”
“Seems like a silly thing to say, don’t you think?”
“And what’s your excuse?”
“You’ll get it together soon.”
“Sometimes I feel like I’ll never have it together.”
“It’d be better if people weren’t so afraid of their feelings.”
“You keep quiet and we both lose.”
“I wish I could save this forever.”
“When did you realize you were in love with me?”
“The rooms spinning.”
“I loved you long before you knew.”
“I’m not afraid of death, I think it’ll be peaceful.”
“The Universe is too big for that.”
“Do you think we’ve met in other lives?”
“I’d come back to haunt you.”
“Would you come back to haunt me?”
“What’s alternate universe you doing right now?”
“Tell me a secret.”
“Why haven’t you told anyone?”
“I wish we knew each other sooner.”
“You’re a game changer.”
“I’m a game changer.”
“Don’t ignore fate.”
“Ignorance isn’t bliss.”
“What, is that a conspiracy theory?”
“It’s probably the Illuminati anyways.”
"Rrr-rr--Really cute!" A voice purred out, sounding relatively close to Lucifer.
“Who in the absolute hell..”
The king furrowed his brows, looking around. The two large hounds at his sides stood at attention, ready for the commands of their master.
A spirit appeared before him, lips out of sync with his voice. The spirit was tall, pale, and had a red vest and slacks on.
“Nnno! Not bad!”
This is his ‘ghost’ form, in which his intelligence is extremely hindered.
Lucifers face looked less than impressed as he eyed the spirit. He snapped his fingers, and peered down at the two large hounds.
“Boys- down. No need to be up in arms over a ghost.” He turned his attention back to the other. “I apologize, they are quite protective of their master.”
“ ‘s okay. I know the feeling.”
Hiyo coughed a little, hands covering his face. They really do think that Lucifer is.. quite handsome. “I’m happy you..” makes a heart and points to himself.
Luficer gave the spirit another look. Of course Hiyo thought Luce was handsome, he was handsome. The most handsome-if you asked the man himself.
“My dear, I believe I’ve failed to recognize you. I’m sure you understand- I meet so many spirits seeing as I’m the ruler of hell.”
pet the puppers?
No.
Well. It depends on if they want to let you.

Lucifer never knocked. Well, at least not on Alphas door. Even if the ghoul minded, it wasnt like Lucifer really cared. Which is why he now barged in, flinging himself at the ghoul. This was a lot of trust he was putting into the other- his vessel wasnt small by any means, and the clothing he wore didn’t make him any lighter.
“Oh, Alpha!” He called to get the others attention.

Lucifer had just left his office, or the sad excuse of an office the church provided him with. He turned, shoving the keys into the pocket of his coat. As he looked forward to head to his chambers he was met with a figure flying at him.
His instincts hit him, and Lucifer quickly stepped forward to catch them. He was pleased when the body in his arms turned out to be none other than Niero.
