An older piece, but relevant nonetheless!
Frumpy isn't all smiles, snails, and kisses. No, not by a long shot. He does what he does for a couple of reasons. Money, sure. But also the thrill of the kill.
I should probably write this down by the way, the pink stuff is venom! Think of his venom as operating similarly to that of a real world komodo dragon, coming from the base of his teeth and being suspended in saliva. It's always being produced in relatively large quantities because of the immense excess his body is trying to regulate, but secretion is kicked into overdrive in moments like this one where the adrenaline is pumping.
Symptoms of envenomation by this kobold include anticoagulation, fever, delirium, whispers of a sinister presence beyond the veil, an excessively sweet taste on the palate, and death.

Even the busiest of adventurers should take the time to unwind! Pet a snail!
Another marvelous sketch from @hellagator!!
Uh-oh, looks like they must've gotten turned around somewhere along the way to their destination. Good thing it looks like Frumpy spotted something in distance! Hopefully they make it before nightfall. Who knows what lurks in these forests when the sun sets and the mists roll in?
A breathtaking piece by @hellagator!!
The first of many bestiary entries to come for the fauna of Antithra!!
Todays subject is the Herx Beetle, the most common beast of burden for cart hauling and trade!
Enjoy!

Oh yeah, did I mention these bitches gay as hell and their love story is going to be a driving force in this series? ;3
I'll be posting an introduction and first chapter soon!

Ah! Of course! How could I forget?
Here he is!
...Uh... Actually I'm not sure who this is...
Hm...
It'll come back to me soon enough, I'm sure.
Hmm... Yep that should about cover our main characters! I can't help but feel I'm forgetting someone though...
Next up: Angus O'Tarbh! (Oh Tar-v)
Angus is a whole lot of highland bull born into his family's thriving smuggling caravan operation. He bears the mantle of his family name with pride, even if he's taking a break from their business to do a bit of soul-searching. Armed with the family hammer, Cragmaul, he's not afraid to cave in the chest of anyone who gets in the way of him or his loved ones.
Angus is a favorite of mine, a behemoth of a bull with an equal excess of charm and muscle! He's a gentle giant who is NOT afraid to get his hands dirty. He likes whittling, long naps, and hearty meals coupled with plenty of drink.
He's been in the game protecting his family's operation since he was old enough to raise a weapon and is the first to stand in the way of any threat that dares rear its head at those he holds dear. As such, he packs a hefty punch and is more than willing to take a hit or two if you've got his back. He's resilient, good-natured, and loyal to the ends of the earth.
Once he sees the sights and finds what he feels he's missing, he'll return to the life he's always known and proudly take up the mantle of his father and forebears.
Or at least, that's the plan…
(This is immensely self indulgent, but whenever he speaks imagine him with a wonderfully deep bass-y voice and a medium Scottish accent :3 ) ((He has a laugh that shakes buildings lmfao))

Character introduction time!!
First off is Frumptile. He is a kobold blade-for-hire born and raised in the deserts of Qarab. His weapon of choice is his trusty crossbow: Shortstack! He's on a quest to free himself from the grisly grip of the fate that claimed his ancestors.
He's small, even for a kobold, but has enough venom on his tongue (literally and figuratively) to kill a dragon. He likes warm winds, easy pay, sweet treats, and men two and a half times his size.
Thanks to the caustic blood flowing in his veins, he is immune to most forms of poison all while packing his own mordant punch. He's never not armed to the teeth thanks to his highly venomous bite.
Once he frees himself of the toxic timebomb ticking in his noggin, he wants to kill a corrupt authority or two and slip away with the spoils to a small home on the coast of Qarab where he'll live out his days caring for his cacti.
There is much much more in store for this little guy, trust me! Stay tuned!

Here she is: Antithra! This is the continent where most of the stuff I write and share will take place!
I don't want to let on too much information quite yet, but the places that are going to be seeing the most action at this point in time are definitely going to be Qarab and Ataviquus! I'll put a teensy outline of both countries down below. Qarab may seem like a desolate and hostile dustbowl at first glance, but if you look just beneath its seemingly barren surface you won't find a land with more tightly knit communities or coruscating culture. Even so, a word of warning is worth mentioning for the more adventurous wanderer. Beneath the vibrant colors and people who make up the cities and townships huddled around the desert oases is an underbelly black as night. Exercise caution lest you be swallowed up by its swirling sands before you can so much as utter one last desperate plea.
Ataviquus is a land unlike any other. It is home to the dragons and alves of Antithra, and teeming with magic. Its forests are lush and dense, and its cliffs are magnificent and charged with ethereal energies. The ancient glaciers nestled at the base of its slopes to the northwest house endless mysteries and keep the lands beneath verdant. Beauty and wonder bewitch the mind around every bend but be wary. One wrong step and you may find yourself lost beyond hope and made forever more into a hapless plaything of the fae denizens that bound and scuttle just beyond the mists on its moors.
Hello world!
Howdy! I'm Frumpy, and this is where I'm going to store any and all content related to the series I'm writing, Antithra!
