The warm sun flooded your bedroom as it seeped through the gaps in the blinds. You were still fast asleep, exhausted from the flight you had the day before. Your head rested against Nicholasโ chest as he admired your sleeping figure.
You had moved away from Thailand about 3 years ago, an exciting job opportunity in Japan being impossible to decline. Thatโs where you met your boyfriend Nicholas. You became friends easily, bonding over the shared experience of moving to a foreign country, and this friendship eventually blossomed into something more.
The both of you had very busy schedules, what with the nature of your job and Nicholas being an idol. Though you got very lucky this year as your time away from work just so happened to coincide. Once you realised, Nicholas was urging you to let him book flights asap, eager to visit your home country.
โPlease baby we have to go! Itโs gonna be ages before we get a chance like this again.โ
So here you were, tucked up in bed in your old room just like how things used to be, except now you had Nicholas by your side.
It wasnโt long before you began to stir awake, eyes opening slowly yet still heavy as you shifted slightly in his arms. A lovesick smile grew on Nicholasโ face at the sight, mornings like this made him feel like nothing else in the world mattered.
Your eyes widened suddenly upon hearing this, a light blush dusting your cheeks. โHow do you know that?โ Your voice came out groggy and slow, still barely awake at this point.
Nicholas chuckled at your reaction, pressing a kiss to your forehead before speaking up. โI studied a few phrases to prepare for our trip.โ
A smile graced your face, finding his efforts incredibly endearing as you buried your face back into his chest.

After laying together for a while longer, enjoying each otherโs company, you eventually got up to head downstairs for breakfast.

He laughed sheepishly, managing to gather that she was praising him. Your heart warmed at the scene in front of you, all too pleased that your mum approved of Nicholas.
After eating breakfast you both went to change clothes, getting yourselves ready to go out to the market.
You headed outside after bidding your mother goodbye, walking over to the main road to call a taxi. A short car ride later, you arrived to the market.
Once you arrived to the market you quickly dragged Nicholas in, excited to show him around. He listened intently as you explained everything, how youโd always come here with your friends on the weekends, how some of the sellersโ families had been here since the market opened. He wanted to hear about all of it.
After wondering around for a while you managed to find a few stalls selling items he saw fit to buy as souvenirs for his members. He watched you in awe, amused as you bickered with the owner for a discount.
After being rejected with a firm shake of the head, you grabbed Nicholasโ to walk away, whispering to him. โNico donโt look back at him trust me this will work.โ
As suspected, the shop owner shouted out to you, calling you back. โ400 เธเนเนเธเนเนเธซเธกโโ Nicholas chuckled at the pleased grin that now adorned your face as you turned back. โ350.โ
Reluctantly, the shop owner agreed, and you paid for the items. You looked up at Nicholas beaming. โI just saved us 250 baht.โ
He wrapped an arm around your shoulder, briefly pulling you into his side. โYouโre cute when you get annoyed like that.โ
โWell he was trying to charge too much! I had to.โ
He pressed a quick kiss to the top of your head, endeared by your enthusiasm. โI know I know, thank you baby.โ
You then spent a while longer looking around before you both grew hungry. Excitedly, you brought him to your favourite food stall in the market, ordering for the both of you. You found somewhere to sit and eat as he asked you all sorts of questions.
โSo how do you pronounce this one again?โ

He slowly tried repeating this back to you a few times. Your heart swelled at his actions, it meaning a lot that he was so eager to learn from you.
After taking his first few bites he tipped his head back dramatically, exclaiming, โy/n we have to move here one day! I think I might die if I donโt get to eat this everyday.โ
You chuckled at this, โyou like it huh?โ
โI love it, I think this might be the best thing Iโve ever eaten.โ
You smiled at him softly. Everything was so perfect, there was nothing more you needed in life right now you thought to yourself.
You leaned your head gently against his shoulder. โThank you Nico, it really means a lot to me how much you care, I love you so much.โ
He looked down to you, eyes full of adoration. โOf course baby, I love you too, I want to know everything there is to know about you.โ
He paused, thinking hard to remember what he had practiced saying before.
