“ no toilets. maybe some mopping though, or i could show you how to make some of the drinks, “ he shrugged, leaning against the doorframe. “ yeah, yeah, try and wear some sneakers you don’t mind getting dirty. “
❛ i can live with mopping. ❜ shrug lifted his shoulders as he turned to slip his shoes on carelessly. he wore the same sneakers all the time, so it wasn’t really straying much from the normal. ❛ wouldn’t trust me with drinks. rumor has it that my memory is totally terrible. ❜ maybe it was too soon for such a joke, but at least it made a smile creep across his own features for just a quick moment.
“ i was told that i could borrow you for the day, “ he said with a shrug. “ i’ll give you fifty bucks for helping around the bar a few hours. “
there was no way this wasn’t the work of his parents trying to get him outside for a bit. head nodded a few times as antoni let out a short laugh. ❛ i mean, as long as you don’t have me cleanin’ toilets or whatever, i guess i could help. i’d just have to get ready. ❜
“actually yes, i’m in trouble.” she nodded looking up at the male before she looked over her shoulder, “i mean usually i wouldn’t do this because like i drive but today i walked and someone’s been following me for the past couple blocks, help a girl out?” she rambled a bit as she looked back to him.
worry traced over his demeanor as his body shifted forward a step to give him a better view of the rest of the street before antoni glanced back at her. ❛ yeah, of course. ❜ the male muttered, stepping aside to let her in before he looked outside once more and narrowed his eyes in the slightest. ❛ do you want me to call the cops ? ❜
“No mom, actually I’m perfectly fine right where I am…..no I don’t think I’ll change my mind…. yes, pretty sure!”, annoyed by the telephone call, Erin stared down at her cup of coffee, her head resting on one of her hands. She had just sat down at one of the tables in the cafe, when her mother had called to ask her to visit them for a family gala. After succesfully suppressing her anger for the last five minutes, she was now about to lose her nerves. “One last time, I won’t come, alright?! Bye!“, Erin finally hang up, throwing her phone on the table. “Can you believe it?!”, she almost shouted, without realising that at least half of the other people in the cafe turned their heads to stare at her.
apparently, this was one of his favorite places to get coffee. that’s what everyone kept telling him, and it’s not like he had much to go off of since antoni didn’t drink coffee in high school. even now, as a drink sat in front of him, he couldn’t seem to bring himself to like the actual taste of the drink. but, of course, the doctors said normal routine things would help trigger his memory again ... or so they could only hope. you’d think that after three months of forcing a beverage down his throat that he knew he wouldn’t grow to love anytime soon and one that didn’t help with his memory so far, he’d quit, but that wasn’t an option in the mells house. ❛ –– believe what ? ❜ anything to get his attention off of the coffee, fingers pushing the drink forward a bit before he glanced at the female at the table beside him. ❛ is everything okay ? ❜
“They’re so beautiful.” Alice hummed to herself as she reached over to pull the blossom in towards herself, taking a sniff with a small smile. Walking slowly through the park while the sun was out like this was actually something she genuinely enjoyed. Even though it was a little late for the trees still to hold flowers instead of fruit but that was just a small delightful surprise rather than an issue. “Honestly, I think England really comes into it’s own in the late spring. No longer the land of rain everyone thinks of in conjunction with the country.”
his gaze wandered towards the flowers, hands stuffed into his pockets as eyebrows furrowed in the slightest. ❛ personally, i liked all the rain. it gave me an excuse to stay inside all the time. ❜ he’d dealt with enough fresh air to last a lifetime in the past few months. with summer coming up, maybe he didn’t have the right kind of attitude by wanting to stay indoors, but antoni didn’t really care all too much. ❛ you should pick some of ‘em for keepsake. might be worth it. ❜
she was really hard at work, too concentrated to even focus on anything around her. she hadn’t even realized the time of day until there was a noise that came from behind, causing her to jump slightly and turn around, “i’m sorry did you say something?” she asked until she started to look around and see daylight had fallen by this point.
it wasn’t easy for him to admit, but antoni was lost. he’d circled the floor of this particular building multiple times. each time, he’d managed to miss the exit. his refusal to ask for help ended up in him accidentally stumbling right over one of the trash cans, which definitely caused some kind of commotion. head snapped towards the sound of another voice, hands steadying the trash before he set it down completely again in the right place. ❛ –– sorry, ma’am. didn’t mean to scare you. i was, uh ... i was just walkin’ and i tripped. i’m sorry. ❜
❛ listen, i woke up for this, okay ? someone better be dying or in trouble. ❜ nevermind the fact that he’d been sleeping for a full two days prior to that. the male was tired –– so sue him. ❛ what do you want ? ❜
hey ! sara here ... back at it again with another muse. this is antoni and he’s my lil baby who recently got into an accident that caused him to lose a good chunk of his memory from the past six years. pls love him. thank u.
[ ANSEL ELGORT ] —— [ ANTONI MELLS ] is a [ TWENTY-FOUR ] year old [ UNEMPLOYED ]. They identify as a [ HETEROSEXUAL & CISMALE ] and I’ve heard that they’re [ OBEDIENT & POLITE ] but can also be [ GULLIBLE & PANICKY ]. [ HE ] has been living in London for [ TWENTY-FOUR YEARS ] and has since been known as the [ CONTRITE ].
antoni had a pretty decent childhood. he grew up with a younger sister, belle, and they were always very close. his parents always made sure the two of them were the top priority, which led to a very close bond between the mells children and their parents. they were always that picture-perfect family, having a daughter who was a cheerleader and a son who was the captain of his basketball team.
he grew up as an athlete and loved going to the gym. not only was he on the basketball team, but he was also a runner (on his own time). exercise and working out always came easy and it was a great stress relief when it came to trying to calm his nerves.
despite is athletic demeanor and leadership skills, antoni was always a very outspoken guy. he was quiet and kept to himself a lot. along with being just a bit shy, he was also raised to be polite. there isn’t a time where you won’t catch him saying “ma’am” or “sir” to someone.
he was smart, but not smart enough to get into any top colleges. his uncle was in the movie industry and antoni showed a genuine interest in becoming a stunt double. because of such a connection, he landed his first role in some indie movie. this exposed him to the industry more and he eventually started landing more and more roles as a stunt double and stunt coordinator because of his athleticism and fitness levels. he was very dedicated to his job for years and years and he loved every second of it.
he worked as a stunt double and stunt coordinated for six years until one of his stunts went terribly wrong. he was in the middle of a car scene and ended up in a crash that left him comatose for three days. when he woke up again, the doctors said he was suffering from retrograde amnesia and he only remembered things that happened from before he graduated high school.
the accident was only three months ago and his memory has not returned. the past six years are all a blur to him and he has no recollection of his job as a stunt double or the people he’s met during that time.
after he was released from the hospital, his parents brought him back home and took care of him. they’re still taking care of him and trying to help him regain his memory slowly. so far, nothing they’ve tried has worked and antoni tends to get incredibly frustrated whenever he can’t remember certain things.
as if the memory loss wasn’t bad enough, the injury to antoni’s brain left him with a tremor in his left hand. the doctors said they can’t operate on it quite yet, but they’re working on it.
for the time being, antoni is not employed and still goes to the gym to work out his stress. he also took up photography as a hobby because he couldn’t really do much else.
the photography is also a hobby because he likes the idea of keeping memories close now. he keeps every picture he takes in a scrapbook / journal with little blurbs about each photo below it to help him remember it later on, just in case another accident were to happen.
now, he’s just trying to get back to his normal life and try to do things as normally as possible, but he struggles constantly and gets super frustrated and nervous a lot of the time, leaving him to feel helpless and lonely sometimes.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
nurse / doctor –– one of the nurse or doctors who checks up on him and monitors his brain activity or the tremor to make sure nothing gets worse. it’s basically a doctor or nurse that his parents pay extra to in order to make sure the injury doesn’t progress or do anything else to him
family friend –– someone antoni was always pretty close to and they knew each other because their families knew each other. this could also be someone who tries to help him regain his memory.
exes –– maybe a girl he dated when he was a little younger, maybe a high school sweetheart. there could also be a girlfriend that broke up with him or that he broke up with within the past six years that he doesn’t remember and they run into each other again idk.
confidant –– this could be someone he goes to when he needs to rant or get out his feelings. he trusts them with his life and they’re comfortable with each other.
current girlfriend / recent ex –– this could be someone he dated when the accident happened and it’s very angsty bc he doesn’t remember anything about the relationship. think about the vow for a second. she could have either moved on from him or still try to be there for him.
