toby: I'll pine and ache for your presence every second we're apart.
Kate: That seems a bit overboard, don't you think?
toby: Hardly. You're absolutely stunning, Kate.

âWhich amazingly handsome face? Do you have a second one?â, he joked, although there wasnât really a trace of a grin on his face, âAnd besides, I see you enough in person, I definitely donât need to stare at your face every time I look at my phone.â Jay shook his head, although quickly regretting it. Because of the handover it still hurt like hell. âWho goes into a bar at one in the afternoon anyway?!â
â never have enough of my face, but to each man his own i believe. â he went back to wiping down the bar and stools. â people on their lunch break, business partners- grab a pint and make some deals over nachos. itâs high class around here, jaybird. â
antonimells:
â  i can live with mopping. â shrug lifted his shoulders as he turned to slip his shoes on carelessly. he wore the same sneakers all the time, so it wasnât really straying much from the normal.  â  wouldnât trust me with drinks. rumor has it that my memory is totally terrible. â maybe it was too soon for such a joke, but at least it made a smile creep across his own features for just a quick moment.
tobias mirrored the otherâs smile, letting out a quiet and quick laugh. â careful, if your mum hears that weâll both be in trouble. you donât need memory, just throw stuff together that sounds like it tastes good. well, and maybe use a measuring spoon. â
emirxwindsor:
â maybe you can make an exception? â emir placed a hand over his chest in a dramatic way as he gasped. â i am hurt. here i thought we had something special. â the smile on his lips gave it away that he was just playing as he continued to lean over and say, â you could make it up to me with a gin and tonic.â he even flashed his most charming smile at him hoping it would help.Â
tobias laughed, he already knew that it didnât matter what emir really wanted- toby would give in either way. he was a sucker for those dark curls and that smile that made his chest tighten. â alright, alright. i can make you a gin and tonic but in return, you have to tell me something interesting. i need some company this morning. â
whoisavareed:
Her heels clicked on the hardwood floor as she headed into the bar sheâd been passing on her way to work that morning, enticed in by the slightly rundown look of the place. In in the kind of way youâd end up needing a tetanus shot after visiting, but just enough to give it character, very english, it amused Ava. âDonât you worry, I donât mind you serving me early. Lucky for you iâm really great conversation so you wonât be bored until the usuals turn up.â Her smile was like a cats, eyes sparkling slightly in the sunlight that was reflected off the bottles behind the bar.
tobias had a motto to take shit from no one and stand his ground but the way the stranger acted, the way she held yourself as if she had already bought the lease from tobias and was now his ceo- it reminded him of the life he had left behind. the attitudes of the entitled who knew that their time was worth more than yours was, he was intrigued and wanted to know who exactly this stunning woman thought she was to be giving such casual orders in tobiasâ bar. â perfect, youâll get the owner special. i pick something for you as a surprise, we have a table open over at the window, miss..â he trailed off, with a cocky grin. â i didnât get your name. â
vercniquesncvaks:
The sudden wave of heat bothered VĂ©ronique incredibly so. The air felt heavy and suffocating, and her hair was sticking to the back of her neck already. Barely noticeable, VĂ©ronique was sure, but the sensation was what drove her mad. She never dealt with heat very well; her skin got too warm, cheek too flustered, and she wanted nothing more than to jump into a pool of ice. Instead, her heels clicked against the pavement as she ventured the streets of London, searching for a place to cool down. She found a bar â a good find, always â with the doors open, and slowly stepped inside, curiously.
"Oh,â she breathed out when the voice hit her ears, blinking. "Iâm sorry, I thought ââ waving a hand aimless, she glanced around the bar, her lips curling into an amused smile. âSave me a seat, you say? Will it be the best in the house?â
â itâll be my favorite seat in the house, perfectly lit and just the right amount of sun,â he replied back easily, smiling back at her. he subtly glanced her over, trying to determine if heâd met her before. â i could make you a drink in the bar while we wait for the dining room to open- if you donât mind a strangerâs conversation about nonsense. â
alessandrcxlopez:
she was going crazy, maybe a bit too crazy, but she was obsessing with getting everything right. so right right, she pretty much forgotten if she made plans or if she didnât so when she saw the other in front of her eyes closed, a look of stress crossing her features, âplease tell me i didnât forget our plans today and that youâre just here to drag me away from all things work?â she pleaded slightly.
â i mean, we had loose plans? but if itâll help, i can lie and say that something deep within me sensed you needed to get away from whatever has you all tangled up in knots. i came to make you go get happy hour drinks and maybe some wings? âÂ
eloise-royce:
Elle grinned, unable to to miss the kind of pride that this man had in his bar. And for good reasonâit was really something. âWell, lucky you I suppose.â She paused, biting her lip realizing her choice of words. Good one, Elle. âOhâIâm so sorry to your father passed away. I canât imagine its easy.â
â We had a strained relationship, he kept a lot of things hidden from you. I never got to meet my mother or sister because of him, so Iâm sad he passed away. â He sighed. â But he was more a stranger than a father. â
