The 100 Season 1
Am I about to make a long ass post over four gifs who all together is only about 5 seconds long? Yes, yes i am. Nobody will probably read this random shti but oh well. BTW this is a completely worthless post, i hope you know this. you probably will learn NOTHING.
Alright, so Clarke falls in the hole of spikes, and Bellamy grabs her hand right? Right. The whole point of this scene is to show us that Bellamy Blake, the bad boy of the group, was willing to save the girl who was causing all of his problems at the time to show us he’s a good person. I am instead focusing one everything other than that… So i guess I’m the odd one out.
Here we see Finn, Wells, and Murphy’s hand come up behind Bellamy. I would like to mention how You can see WELLS HANDS PLACE THEMSELVES AROUND BELLAMY’S BODY. Which, yeah, I know it’s probably for extra stability, or to pull Bellamy back so there’s extra help to pull Clarke back, but I find it funny that his hands go to Bellamy’s waist instead of to Clarke’s arm. We see Finn in the back, falling to his knee next to Bellamy, and at the last like, millisecond we see Murphy’s hand come into frame.
Here we see a farther away view, which i never noticed this, but we see Jasper’s body on the side there?? I never noticed that before. But back to the others, we see Finn, Wells, Bellamy, and Murphy all near each other, Wells’ hands hands are still on Bellamy’s waist, which i still find funny for some reason, and Fin is to the side, more towards The back of Bellamy, Finn though, is not reaching directly for Clarke, which is shown in the next gif that shows him simply sitting there. Murphy though, the angry gremlin child, is starting to reach for Clarke’s hand to help her up along with Bellamy. While both Wells and Finn take a different approach and ‘help’ in other ways (help is in quotes because are they ACTUALLY helping…?)Murphy the one that supposedly hates her, while the other two ‘love’ her, is the one who reaches for her hand.
Here we see Bellamy pulling Clarke up, but something I never actually noticed is Murphy is also helping her… While Finn just is sitting there waiting fro them to pull her up. Maybe He’s doing something else that ‘helps’ but I can’t tell. It seems here that he’s simply sitting there as Bellamy and Murphy help her up. I just find this odd, because you’d think the two people who are supposed to care about her most, Finn and Wells, would be hands on, Trying to grab for HER, but instead it’s the two people who would BENEFIT from her death, saving her.
I still have no clue what Finn is doing. Holding Bellamy’s jacket?? Wells still has his hands on Bellamy’s waist, which is still funny to me for no reason at all, and Murphy? Murphy helps Bellamy pull her all the way up. It’s a small kindness. Probably something nobody really though of. It’s probably a random thing that was only included to make the scene more interesting. But Murphy, the one who has been getting into knife fights with Wells. Murphy, the one who has been angry at Clarke. Murphy the one who has been following Bellamy’s every word, and would have probably killed Clarke if Bellamy had just said the word. THAT Murphy, Helps Clarke up out of that hole. He’s the one who grabs her hand, and directly pulls her up, while the people who were supposed to be “closest” to her, didn’t grab for her.
This is COMPLETELY random and probably means nothing but i found the scene odd and Interesting. The way everyone does things, the way the characters are placed. The way Murphy immediately starts reaching for Clarke. It makes me think of who Murphy would have really been without Bellamy’s influence. Would he have been more open to helping people? To saving them? Would he have been more cautious? More thoughtful? Or would he have been the same? Grouchy, and angry. He seems to actually care during this scene. He seems to genuinely care about what happens to Clarke as he pulls her up.
I’m aware this post had no real meaning. Maybe it was a way for me to randomly point out that WELLS HAS HIS ARMS AROUND BELLAMY (Heh, sorry back on track), maybe it was to point out how Murphy acts, or the way Finn doesn’t grab for her. I don’t know. Maybe it was my clurphy heart going BANG BANG. Who knows?
Five years since my boy Bellamy Blake died (went to a better place where he's happy and surrounded by his closest people!)
