(No but seriously, I love how this showdown turned into a catfight, with hair-pulling and name calling included, all because the villain taunted them about their Dad. The PPG don't always get to act like the high schoolers they are, but like most teenagers, you talk about mom/dad, it's on lol.)

I'm sure it's been talked to death, but I really love the scene between Blanc and Nana in the library/sitting room near the end of the movie. At this point in the Knives Out franchise, we still don't know Benoit very well yet, but this scene gives us a taste of how he interacts with people and his perceptive abilities. It also shines a light on one of the many social issues addressed in this movie; the way society treats and values elderly people and aging. Though Nana is indeed suffering from memory/cognitive issues, throughout the movie she is dismissed, pushed aside, underestimated, and moved around like she's a piece of furniture in the way.

Blanc sits down with her, looks her in the eye, and ackowledges her as a person. He knows there's someone in there, and he talks directly to her--something no one else except perhaps her son has done in a long time. Blanc actually SEES her, and looks at her--not past her or through her--and engages her without pushing her past her limitations. Even Marta falls victim to ageism and treats Nana more or less like everyone else does in the film, but luickly for her, Nana surprised them all because Blanc took the time to just listen.

My speculation is that there will be a Shannon reference in 9x05, just because of the theme of the episode. I don't see any way around Shannon not being referenced in an episode titled Díaz de los Muertos centering on a holiday specifically for remembering loved ones. I would even venture to say that it's Shannon's ghost or a vision/memory of Shannon that Eddie is looking at in that now infamous still that's driving everyone crazy lol. I do think that as far as Eddie has come in his overcoming Shannon's death, there's still the business of Eddie being able to move on from what Shannon represented to him. Her death turned everything he thought his life would be on its head--married, kid, white picket fence, nice quiet life, paint by numbers heterosexual relationship. There's nothing wrong with that life, but this specific vision has Eddie in a chokehold and it's making him look at his not so perfect relationship with Shannon through rose-colored glasses

Christopher and Eddie will always mourn Shannon, of course, but Eddie is mourning more than just her literal death; he's mourning and struggling to let go of the version of himself he thought he would be with her, and maybe this episode will be more closure for that. My shipper heart would love to get some hint of what the future holds for Buck and Eddie--maybe Eddie and Buck lock eyes at some point after Eddie sees Shannon, if that's indeed who he's looking at in that still? Maybe Shannon's "ghost" disappears only for Buck to be standing in her place? Or maybe it is Buck he's looking at, though Eddie looked more bittersweet/sad to me than lovey-dovey. But I am intrigued and excited!

Sad? I wonder if you would have the same stance if they killed of 1/2 of Buddie. Stfu. I guarantee you would have a different reaction if it was one of them. This show was created because of the power of Angela Bassett, firstly, and when they casted Peter Krauss, 911 was about to be THAT show because of them.

Angela is a legend and an icon of tv/film. Peter has been is tv icon/legend in every show he has been in. This show has lasted as long as it has because of those two.

If Angela decides to walk, that show is over. I've seen Buddie fans she won't have much to do as if this show wasn't built off her back with Ryan Murphy.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is a household name. Take that away, this show will be nothing. Even if Buddie was endgame, they just killed the longevity of the show because the top billers will no longer be there.

So stfu and stop clogging up the #Bathena tag, and that goes for a lot of Buddie shippers who obviously don't care about #Bathena fans grieving of their couple.

I’m super sad about Bobby too guys, but like…have y’all never watched a show where a character dies? I’m a little baffled about the extreme reactions, devastation, and tantrums. It’s a bit unusual for a show to go 8 seasons without a main character leaving or dying. This is just how tv works🤷‍♀️ Why are people acting like they’ve never seen Game of Thrones, Degrassi, any anime, Grey’s Anatomy, etc?

I understand being sad and shocked, and I don’t think all the writing choices were very strong, but a character died. It happens. It’s network tv. For those of us that grew up watching this kind of programming, this is pretty parr the course.

I wonder how long they've known that they're going to kill off Bobby, because it seems like poor, rushed writing to put him with Athena, who has lost a fiance to death, one husband to divorce, and now another husband to death. Like, damn. Woman can't catch a break:-(

I'm wondering about the build-up to Eddie's feelings reveal, if there is going to be one? We only have two episodes left, I wonder if they can build up to something, even just the beginning of inclinations, without it seeming rushed? I'm excited! We just haven't gotten a lot from Eddie regarding his journey; his storyline has been mainly about Chris the past several episodes. I'm excited though!

I know some people are annoyed by this and I totally get why, but I do understand why Eddie wasn't "meaner" when confronting his mom. Eddie loves his parents. Chris loves his grandparents. They were there for Chris when he called them and needed them, and came to get Chris with no hesitation. Eddie genuinely appreciates that; who doesn't want people like that in their child's life? Did Ramon and Helena do everything right, with Chris or Eddie? No, of course not. But for now, it's enough for Eddie that he was able to calmly and confidently make a decision for himself and his son and assert himself. He doesn't *need* or want some big dramatic confrontation with them where he tells them off. Eddie's parents were also a big part of Chris's early childhood, and Chris still want them in his life; Eddie's just much more confident about what that looks like now.

Sometimes family relationships just don't work the way our fanfics and personal fantasies of vindication do. Sometimes things are more nuanced and complex than that, and I think 911 for the most part does a good job of portraying the layered emotions and motivations that come with difficult family dynamics.

How do people want to see Buddie go canon? I think Buck realizes or is at least willing to be open to the possibility that he might be in love with Eddie, but Eddie isn't quite there yet, both in regards to Buck and his own journey with his sexuality. The only thing I hope is that Eddie doesn't have some grand realization after Buck gets hurt or something; I don't want any revelations to be because of fear or despair, plus the whole "one of them gets injured and the other one gets emotional" storyline is getting a little tired.

I'd love for one of two scenarios to take place:

Eddie and Chris eventually move back to LA, into their house. Buck stays either because Eddie tells him he doesn't have to move, or because Buck needs time to find a new place. They slowly fall into a domestic life and routine together, and the realization happens slow and sweet. Maybe Eddie sees Buck go on dates with guys and starts feeling some type of way, and allows himself to question his perception of his own sexuality.

Chris has some sort of medical or personal crisis/emergency in Texas, and Buck just shows up because why wouldn't he? He doesn't even question it and is like "Uh, yeah Eddie, of course I'm here, where else would I be??" and Eddie slowly realizes how much of a presence Buck has been in their life, and how Buck just so easily and effortlessly fits in. It doesn't solve all their problems--they want to do things right and take it slow, and Eddie is still exploring himself, plus there's the issue of Chris maybe still living in El Paso; but they take their time and want to give it an honest shot with each other.

I'd love either one of those scenarios!

I love how Buck's coma dream, the guardianship thing, and the subletting plot just hammers home that Buck's influence will always be a driving force in Eddie and Christopher finding their way back to each other.

"Thanks for helping me get back to him."

Even when it devastates Buck, he takes his role as the "legal guardian of Eddie's heart" (heart=Christopher) very seriously. Even if it causes Buck pain and devastation, he will always make sure Eddie and Chris are together<3

This whole situation is weird. I totally understand why Christopher needed some space; when you find out your dad is not only having an affair of sorts on his girlfriend after hammering in values and ethics to you your whole life, but said affair is with a woman who is your dead mother's doppelganger, a kid needs some time to clear his head lol. And I'm glad and proud to see Eddie, as devastating and painful as it has been for him, giving Chris the space he has asked for and is respecting his son's boundaries.

But Eddie's parents are...shady. I know they helped raise Christopher when he was much younger, and there's some complex feelings and relationships there. And I don't see anything wrong with Chris going to stay with them for a few weeks; maybe even for the summer if necessary.

But I'll be honest, if I were the grandparent in that situation, I'd be doing everything I could to reunite my son and his child. I'd make sure they both knew that my home was a safe place, and that my grandson was always welcome to stay as long as he needs, but I would 100% be doing my part to foster their relationship. It doesn't sound like Helena and Ramon are doing that. They didn't even tell Eddie that Chris was on a chess team. They're not encouraging Christopher to call Eddie more often. They're not sending Eddie photos. They're not supporting Chris while actively working with Eddie on a plan and timeline to get him back to his father. Seems like Helena and Ramon see Chris as their "do-over" to fix the mistakes they made with Eddie; and/or, they are so one-sided in their persistent, general disapproval of their son, that they see themselves as Chris's family, and Eddie can come or go. They're slowly pushing Eddie out of Chris's life.

I would love for Eddie to set the record straight, but tbh, I can also see Chris being the one who does it maybe after hearing his grandparents disrespect Eddie? Maybe making sure they know that while Chris loves and appreciates them, Eddie is his father, and Chris never wanted or intended anything different--he just needed some space. I'd love to see that!

(And then they both show up on Buck's doorstep, but maybe that's a pipe dream<3 Then again, I was floored when Maddie actually brought the possibility of Buck having feelings for Eddie out into the open, so who knows?)

It’s WILD to come from the SPN/Destiel fandom where we were grateful for crumbs and analyzing a single frame of eye contact for weeks, to the buddie fandom, where a male character who didn’t start out as bisexual kissed another man ON SCREEN, and his sister just straight-up asked him if he’s in love with his bff.

My brain is so conditioned to being let down and having to debate whether anything even vaguely queer is subtext or not, I almost can’t wrap my head around all this🙃🥲
