I just saw another post on here that had these, but they also mentioned “passing” and to me, passing is a thing that doesn’t exist. You may want to look more femme or more masc, but being transgender doesn’t mean you suddenly don’t look your authentic self, the self you’ve discovered, the self you feel comfortable in. Who decides what is passing and what is not? In my experience as a non-binary individual, (and I can only speak on my experience), the idea of passing is a toxic box that transgender and gender non-conforming people are put into on top of dysphoria they may already feel. So I tried to make some more pleasant and uplifting ones for those who need a smile today. I hope it works. Because I see you, I am your ally, I am one of you, I think you’re doing fucking amazing sweetie. 🏳️‍⚧️

really fucking. hate when i see a meme edited to use atla characters on social media and the replies are inevitably “what is toph doing on twitter? she’s blind, she can’t have social media lol”

i truly don’t have the patience for it. i know it stems from ignorance but it’s ignorance that could be easily researched on the individual’s behalf, and if they did they would quickly find out that blind people do in fact have the ability to enjoy social media. (what do you think image ids are for?)

it’s just incredibly telling about the way the general public infantilizes blind people (and disabled people as a whole) and i wish they would take two seconds to google it before making blind people feel like shit in the replies

i feel like everyone in the gaang would pick up sokka’s habit of yelling “suki!” whenever he sees her. like, im just imagining suki passing by the doorway of zuko’s council room and he yells it at her, or katara and hakoda yelling it and running to hug her when she visits the swt (sokka’s just standing there like ‘so you like my gf more than me now huh’). mai doesn’t do it and it turns onto a competition of who can get her to. idk just…suki appreciation is the only appreciation
