Woof fam. 2024 through 2025 was ROUGH. I never made my 2024 recap zine (which I’ve done annually since 2020), because that year was so hard I didn’t want to look back on it at all. It’s also my equivalent of a “holiday letter,” and it felt like way too much of a bummer to send to 100 people…
But now - it’s about 1 year later. I’m making the 2024 zine just for me. It feels cathartic to dump all the junk out. ((the Lorax helps too 🌳))
Reopening my computer to all of these windows / programs REALLY paints a picture of a race to the finish line with this zine while packing for my trip to the Expo where I'm selling it 😅

My friend and I got Tix to see MCR next year, and we’re scheming Killyjoy OC fits. Imagine this in a CMYK palette (this blue is all wrong).
Anxious Critters 3 is in the works! Debuting in November with Zine-a-Month, it’s the final installment before it becomes a full-blown volume.
Been forgetting to update here… so might do some retroactive posting soon. Mostly so I can remember what I did this year 😅
WIP Character Line Up for my big project!
Slow but steady progress... hoping to have this page inked and flat colored by the end of the weekend 🤞
Playing with new brushes and testing it on the first page of a new project - It's going to take a longggg time to finish, but I'm excited by this start! I think I've landed on the brush I like for my line art.
Not a WIP. Just a meme I want to put in ye olde artist-memory-bank. Despite being SUPER on top of it this past year, getting DnA's taxes sorted makes me look and feel like this by the end. It took roughly 5 hours to reconcile everything / prep it for our tax professional. Instead of profit increases, my real marker for progress as a small business is going to be how long prepping our taxes takes each year.... Decreased time? We succeeded.
Also for future Alex - it's 3 am. Two days before the deadline to file. Please don't do this again.

Working on the 2024 DnA tour tee design!
Last project of 2024 (excluding a CRAZY amount of weaving and knitting...) -- Mom's annual journal. I custom designed the internal pages based on her preferences, and bound them in a leather she picked out. She really liked the gold ribbon accents!
I've done it! I'm in a little bit of disbelief... but I've ordered my riso prints to make Phoenix!! If all goes according to plan ((OMG PLEASE LET IT)) these will premier as do-si-do folded risograph comics at CAKE! If it doesn't go to plan... I can always print the color version as it is 🤷♀️
