Since Frank apparently has some kind of extrasensory perception/detection ability that allows him to perceive Verdona, do you think the other family members who are descendants of Verdona (Ben, Carl, Ken) also have some strange or supernatural ability that they treat as normal? I thought about this after discovering that Ben apparently has identical/photographic memory.
I could definitely believe the Tennysons family, at least to Ben and Gwen’s generation, have some sort of extra-sensory ability, 6th sense, or otherwise minor ability tied to being related to Verdona
Frank- As said, he can sense when energy beings like his mom is around
Carl- Idk, we don’t really see him often. But given the explanation as to his lack of appearance in Omniverse, that being him always out back doing yard work, I’ll say he has a good green thumb and keeps a garden out back as part of his and Sandra’s healthy & organic eating preference
Ben- Physically and mentally felt ‘wrong’ or generally perturbed by transforming into Ghostfreak, and Ectonurites are a species without Manna (as confirmed when Ben used the transformation to fight Morningstar, who could not sap any life energy from him as Ben did not have any in that form) so Ben has a bit of an opposite power from his Uncle Frank, sensing the lack of Life Energy rather than the abundance of it tied to energy beings
Gwen- Obviously, she has the spark, but one minor ability I’d attribute to her prior to any Charms or spellbook learning is some level of empathetic communication that disappears for the most part after all her focus goes into her magical study. I say this because she seems to understand Ben as Wildmutt, a mute alien that nonetheless speaks some form of language as seem when Ben talked to other Vulpimancers, more so than one would expect to understand a dog communicating the same issues. Basically, if intelligent life is trying to speak to her, she will get the general idea even if she doesn’t speak a word of it.
Ken- . . . We do not see this man enough to gauge anything, I’ll chalk him up to having an extra charismatic aura and leave it at that
