I have to say your blue willow crochet is one of the loveliest designs I have seen. I’d love to know how long it took you to design. It’s just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the pattern. Designing it didn’t take all too long tbh, I’m a digital artist and have messed around with pixel art in the past, so it really only took me an afternoon or so to draft up the pattern. It took me a lot longer to figure out what yarns I wanted to use since I’m so picky about color >_>” The entire project took me about 7 months total but I was unemployed for the first half of it and could dedicate a lot more time to it, so I busted that part out pretty quick.

For mine I used hobby lobby’s I Love This Yarn in 4 colors - dark country blue, medium blue, light gray, and arctic mist. Buuut considering hobby lobby’s less than favorable reputation you could really use any weight 4 yarn of your choice. Other weights would likely work just fine but of course the size would vary - mine’s about 3.5 ftx3.5 ft using a weight 4 and a 5.5mm hook
As tedious as it is my biggest piece of advice would be to be conscious of your stitches so you don’t end up accidentally dropping one or adding an extra one, and check in every few rows to make sure if you do end up having to pull back and redo things, it won’t be too far back. Undoing work for mistakes is the biggest motivation killer for me so I tried to pay really close attention to my stitches for this project and I’m VERY glad I did lmao, I had to pull back waaay less on this one than on my previous projects
