The teasing was fun. It felt challenging in a good way, to prove himself while also have fun.

The clouds left moisture on his coat that made him shiver some as he shook his head some of the water in his hair.

It was freeing-- until he heard the roaring that echoed around and he looked back in worry. While he didn't care, Devrim was huge and could be a target.

And almost to quickly and without a thought, did he fly back towards Devrim to try and get closer, "Shhh!" He tried saying loudly, "you can't do that!" He urged.

Dev stopped midair, trying his best to flap and hover in front of Andrew so he could talk to him, but his wing muscles were weak and he started to sink a little. He flapped harder and rose just a bit, but Dev was honestly tiring. "Okay, okay. I think I need to land for a bit. I'm not in shape for this."

With that, he stopped the rampant flapping, and let himself ease down until his hind legs touched upon the ground.

They were just outside of the main New York City landscape behind a hill, but still very much in seeing range of anyone who was paying attention.

Dev quickly changed back into his guise and got up off his fours.

"Now, that was fun.. I say we make our plan to go get our kids."

The struggle hadn't been lost either, he noticed the harder flapping of wings. And maybe if Devrim was his side, he'd have suggested the younger glided over flying when he felt tired. But still he lands easily, allowing his telekinesis to stop and he lands gently on the ground. "Just some more practice and bet you'd be travelling a hundred miles without a need for a break."

His good eye looked towards the city, and when he looked back, Devrim was back as a human. It still was uncanny that someone as large as Dev or even Tom could appear small in that guise.

And he didn't know he grit his teeth at the mention of their kids. His kid and Dev's kid were taken in the worst times. He couldn't even tell which was worse, the one taken after birth or the one that knew Andrew wasn't able to save him in that moment..? "Yes, lets."

"There are no words." He repeated. And he looked at his brother and then up towards the clouds.

Devrim looked like a smaller Tom, but the scars... it reminded him of his own some. The snap made him chuckle and he flew around Devrim, "think you can keep up?" He smirks, challenging and he flew up into the clouds.

"Think YOU can?" he countered with a hint of joking arrogance. This was too much fun. He actually felt finally free.

He watched as Andrew took off up into the clouds, and Devrim took another deep breath and then pushed the air current down with his wing - up, up he went in spurts of momentum, until he broke through that white precipitation.

The chill stung against his scales and wings which made him shake, as if tossing the moisture off from sticking to him.

Steam rose from his body against it, and then he relaxed his wings, allowing himself to coast downward back out of it, picking up more and more speed as he plunged and then glided more.

He wanted to scream - and then he did, forgetting about the humans on the Earth below. With a massive gust of breath he roared out across the city below.

Andrew got a feeling of nostalgia. Of Tom and Andrew flying together for the first time since meeting.

It was a moment that was also so different. He was ready to catch Devrim if the dragon fell.

He smiled. "No need to rush this. Practice makes perfect. You'll be flying around the country in no time." He flew towards Devrim and playfully gently bops the nose. "How does it feel, Dev?"

"How did it feel the first time that you flew?" He smiled, knowing that answer would tell him everything. "There's like no other words. I feel... I feel like I'm finally me."

Devrim laughed at the bop, even though, he playfully snapped at him in response. "This is awesome. Wanna race?" Was he pressing his luck, probably, but this was too good.

"Dad is weird. I mean if he is making you uncomfortable than tell him that whenever he comes back. He was the last dragon for so long that he might be a little... old."

The sun was setting. He looked at Devrim in shock. A person lifted is easy, a dragon though? If only he knew what he could lift.

But he kept his coat on, buttoning up and standing on the edge. The teasing made him nod, "well if worse comes to worse, we fall together" He smirks.

But he kicked off, leaving a small beat of air behind as he floated around in the air.

"True," he said about their dad, even though he knew that talk wasn't going to ever happen. He ate their father, he was gone... but he pushed that out of his head, because this was a moment, he wasn't going to allow anything to ruin.

Flying. All these years being crippled, his wings damaged too far beyond repair, and then the devastation of getting one completely torn off - to think ... to really think that he would never fly... and now here he was.

No. No one was ever going to ruin this.

With a deep breath he filled his lungs and then took off running in his human form and just as he hit that skyscraper's ledge, did he kick off, and break himself free from his guise just as he hit the air.

Devrim clapped his wings back like a giant gust of propulsion, nodding his long neck and head to help catch the lift, and then he flapped. Like the birds, Andrew had said, and he did just that. He tucked up his four legs and moved, again, flapping and moving his head.. and he started to actually catch a momentum.

Tears began to fall down from his eyes, but for the first time not from something horrible, no not at all. He was so happy.

"I'm flying!" he called out to Andrew. The current pushed him a little to the side, but he caught himself, pushing harder with his wings, and then he glided right up alongside his human brother. "My wings feel weak, though.. like I need to build up the muscles, but I'm doing it!"

But he listened. And there was something very new. He had heard of trans before. He stared and stared. "You expected me to recoil in disgust or something?

So you were born female? But you're male to me. Unless you prefer me saying some other pronouns. And I understand more on your need to protect your children. I kind of didn't birth mine. But I'll burn the city if it meant mine were safe."

He was unsure if that was right to say, did it sound fake? Forced? "Look, I support you no matter what. I guess I get the hormones but your guise I hope is enough for now? Never know what the future holds and you may transition in your true form"

A relaxed smile lightened on Devrim's face as he looked over at Andrew. "Thanks ... and no, it's more I just don't want you or anyone thinking of me as any different, or treating me differently. I'm a guy, you know? ... just my body's not."

He nodded. "Just a male is fine," he said to the pronoun question, "even though Dad seems to like the idea that .. you know. I can lay eggs and stuff. Apparently, female dragons are rare and leaders or something. I don't know." He shrugged and looked off, again, over the cityscape below.

He got up and stretched his arms out and back noting that the sun was falling, and he took off his coat. "Come on. Let's fly~. If I fall you have to catch me is all," he teased a bit with a chuckle.

He listened and caught the dimension but smart on Devrim for backing that up. "If I had known he would run off I wouldn't have broken the place open." He admitted what he denied. "I would've left him in there. I am sorry this happened, I thought I was doing the right thing."

And when does that always work out? He asked himself mentally with anger.

"Watch birds" He finally said, and pointed at the few birds that flew around, "focus on their wings, how they flap, move. And begin to practice that way before you can make your own style of flying."

Devrim bit the inside of his lip. He knew it had been Drew who had done it. Ehh, he couldn't blame him now. He did far worse. He nodded about the birds and their movements, but there was something else Devrim had to reveal before he took his guise off now that HABIT was out of Andrew.

This would be the first time the real Andrew actually saw his real body.. and while he wasn't sure just how many humans could tell things with Dragons, he didn't want any unexpected rude surprises just in case he could.

"So, there's something I need to tell you before we fly, though..." he started a bit hesitantly, even though he told himself it didn't matter. He just ... he didn't want anyone to think of him any differently, or any looks of shock or anything.

"So.. you see, there's this thing.. when I take off the guise to fly... I'm Tom's clone, ... but I ... I was born a female," he finally just spat it out. "I'm trans.. and there's no um, hormones or anything anyone can give to help me transition. I .. laid my children. All I can do is wear this guise to .. you know, look my gender. Max obviously knows, and he's fine with it."

ah yes, hello edge lord. it is lovely to see you again.

you my dear, are the incarnation of duality, and you might think of claws and venom mixed with grace but alas, nothing near as poetic. you my friend, are mixture of what is seen as right, and what is questioned. you follow the path of your own two feet, you know the twists and turns of life's forests quite well if I do say so myself. and you can meander along them wonderfully. you strive to stay true to a certain sense of principles you might call your code, but whereas in reality, those would be your morals.

people tend to see you as strange. sharp edged and glinting you hide behind a cloak of chain mail but really you just prefer to show off your imperfections first. unlike many who scramble to make it as if their flaws never existed, you proudly raise yours up. saying, "this is me, this is the worst of me, now you know what to expect." and might I say, it is quite an intriguing mindset, for truth be told, the ones that love your spikes and craters are the ones who appreciate your softness the most. you wish not to be loved as something lovable, but as a monster. for aren't we all just beasts in human skin? you are brave, but you are lonely.

you know quite well how to scare off most, making even the heroes with the boldest bravado creep away with their tails between their legs. you are not a villian, sometimes you play the part a bit too well. but nevertheless you are no hero either. you put yourself first, but if one wins your trust then may the gods have mercy on those who might wrong them. you long to be a poetic mess of sorts, and well, if the ink sets in long enough you might just become that sooner or later. but for one who is so dead set on truth you sure do hide a lot don't you? please, step out of the shadows, there is a difference to not making your flaws visible and to simply acting as if you're the most despicable person in all the realms.

it's because you're afraid of attachment is it not? well let me tell you a little secret, everyone is. you say you wish to be left alone for eternity but than why are you craving connection. you wish to be known and understood truly, but you snarl and push the ones that might be trying away. please little wolf, accept you are lovable. you are not some ravenous beast that terrifies the multitudes, sure, you are not for the faint of heart but that does not make you an inkling less perfect as you are. young antihero, step into the sun. you would do better actually reaching for the things you want rather than pining for them in the darkness.

He had not remembered what happened under Habit's control. It was scary to not remember than have to wake up to Tom on the possible verge of trying to execute him for something he didn't remember doing. And he was now to worried to ask what happened, but given Devrim had acted, Andrew did something bad to him.

"Alright." It was all he could say about the plan that he didn't get.

"I hope so, he is still so young. Being without his mom must be terrible." He didn't add on about himself. A bit of guilt remained that he didn't try harder, didn't kill more to save his son.

Force them made him bite the inside of his cheek. Yes, they would have to. He couldn't bare to see his child corrupted. "Nor can I have mine living like I had. I will die if it means our children are safe. I will destroy every inch of that place before I do though."

"Yeah, well, it has to work... because no offence, but your method could leave our other children fatherless or parentless," he added due to the awkward fact that he was technically his kids' biological mother. "I promised both my kids I would never do to them what happened to me. I don't know how much you know, but Dad abandoned me. He refused to go to Neverland when I was kidnapped there... and yet, now.. what does he do? The second he finds out he's human he ditches all of us and runs off to another dimension."

He caught himself.

"I mean, at least it feels that way." He wasn't supposed to know where he was.

Perhaps that was his restitution, though, on why he had the right to kill him.

Plus, it made this whole plan far more believable. If the Order knew he killed his own father, they would definitely believe that he was under their influence.

He had to get his child .. for Max and their kid. He promised both of them. He'd do that and then find his way back to Aurie.... somehow. His heart dropped as he sat there, the raw feeling still cutting, even though he didn't want to show it.. to let on about anything. He had orders - stay away, go home. But maybe some day he'd change his mind and want him there. He'd be ready.

"I need to learn how to fly. I need my full capacities. Plus, they won't be expecting that, either. My wings were broken by them when I was a hatchling."

"Alright. But I do hope you learn to fly over gliding, Devrim." He pulled his coat closer around himself.

The plan made him look with his good eye, "it sounds smart but what if they do put you under their control? I mean, I am sure I can keep you from acid spitting me but I don't exactly want to hurt you either if this goes bad."

And the words made him give a look that bordered on offended and impressed, thankfully Dev looked away. He was unsure he was soft inside either. That dies with his mother. And well, his new and far better father was what brought some softness back. But also the fact that Tom fled at a time he was most needed hurt Andrew.

He released Tom, but now he wished he didn't if he knew Tom would run away from his problems over staying and sorting them out. Not to mention he ditched Cal and his kids. Where was he?

"I am more scared on if we do find them and they refuse to come with us. I know it should be full of hope, but I can't shake the fear that our babies have been led to believe we're the monsters and the Order is the heroes." And he had dreaded the Order show Andrew at his worst in Seattle.

He saw Drew pull his coat tighter and Dev moved in closer still to help lend his heat over a little, and he saw the 'look.' To be honest, he was surprised to hear that older brother actually was worried about hurting him or him getting hurt.

They hadn't had the smoothest of 'get to knows' out there, when HABIT had used Andrew in their first introduction to torture him and attempt to rip off his wings. This made Devrim ... feel a little funny; feelings he wasn't used to comprehending.

It was also ironic that Devrim could hurt and kill his own father even as a dragon, but Andrew and he if put against each other would actually meet at heads. Drew could hurt him. It'd be honestly a close fight.

That was probably what put them both at that slight uncertainty around each other, even though, it was getting a lot better. Devrim did see him as his older brother, now.

"I have a secret card in my back pocket in regards to being controlled... is it fool proof? Well, no. I haven't exactly been about to test out my theory, but it's decent, and worth the risk for our children."

He listened more.

"That's exactly what the Order will be teaching them. I was there. They were the first living beings I encountered when born. At least mine won't know any different, but yours does. You had your son so he still has those first impressions." He thought about it. The child of Drew's was a human. Maybe he wouldn't remember like his child would ... but then, again, his child was also half human, too.

"Well, if we have to force them to come with us, we do. I'll do whatever it takes to get my child out of there. I can't have him living how I did."
