Past meets present ✨
I did NOT have fun when drawing the stars honestly
aurelius got them coordinating mugs <3
Albus Dumbledore, a gay disaster
aurelius likes to talk to auntie ariana
can’t stress how much i live for albus bringing up that he dated grindelwald in every conversation and how he can’t hurt him because of the gay blood pact they made and him not being ashamed of it whatsoever. like when theseus is like why tf did you do that and he’s like because love bitch also i was horny
i see everyone talking about how lavender is symbolic for gellert and how it’s shown to represent him and his identity as a gay man throughout the films but why isn’t anyone talking about albus and how the 18th-century word ‘dumbledore’ literally means bumblebee and the well known fact that bumblebees love lavender
also fun fact bumblebees are attracted to lavender more than any other kind of insect or bee
i’m going so deep but note how gellert is always trying to ‘attract’ and draw albus over to his side in the film and on both occasions they meet (the date and the duel) he’s wearing the lavender tie
like did they really just give us a story about a bumblebee boy falling in love with a lavender boy and them being eternally bound forever yes they fucking did
I think nothing hurt as bad as Albus sitting on that bench watching the wedding and love being lived and fulfilled. He always preaches about love being the greatest power there is. And there he sat, knowing he would never and could never have that. He could never act again on his feelings, his love would never be lived, never be fulfilled and he would never marry the man he loved.
Yet he got never bitter or cynical because of it.
Despite all his mistakes and all the things he did wrong, it is insane how he still saw love as something good.
Both were exceptional people, who bore an exceptional daughter.
After that hug he will go to sleep of course
I’ve just seen the first reveals for Rings of Power and I’m feeling… disheartened at how the men look.
It feels to me like PJ’s LOTR movies were one of the only mainstream media where men (mainly Elves) were allowed to look feminine— according to our own beauty standards. Even the Men characters never looked macho even being honed warriors, the most masculine being Boromir imo…? And even then, he has this soft side for his brother and the regular Man haircut.
What attracted to me in PJ’s Legolas is that he looked so gender-non-conforming, he has this feminine look and air that made me go “WOW so boys can look like that!!” as a kid. Heck, he even was my transmasc awakening and my first window into outside norms of gender roles and presentation.
But here the men look so… Well… Normal? Except the Dwarf guy, he’s perfect, but everyone else looks like people you can meet everyday except in a fantasy cosplay. Like to go back to Elrond, it’s the whole point of Elves— they are not Men, they’re literally angels or whatever. So go wild with the design!! Make them androgynous! Add pearls and flowers in their hair, braid it with silver and gold! Decorate their ears with finely crafted decorations and pendants! And if it their hair to be short, experiment! I want to feel the magic…!!
Like have you seen the Silmarillion fanart that has been going around for years? People are amazingly creative!!
Also I don’t know if you’ve noticed but lately people have been going crazy for androgynous people like kpop stars, or actors like the Timothée Chalamets and the Dylan Sprouses. Why not take advantage of this?
din do you have room to talk. you have like 3 friends and a co-parent at best
Add this to the collection of one Grogu Djarin gently holding his dads finger. 🥺🥺🥺
Well, look who it is!
