Tiktok is going to bite the dust so I'm coming back to other social media apps that aren't restricted to the U.S. only and don't suppress my dark art or posts.

OMG I WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS PIECE

But first…here’s a little timelapse

This piece is about my struggle with perfectionism and how policing my behaviors never works.

The mannerisms that I try to mask always seem to burst through. When I was younger, many times I would catch my family, my teachers, my peers -everyone- watching me as I even performed the most mundane performed tasks…and they’d be laughing. More often than not, I’d be teased, which naturally led to my defending myself. Often times, I was met with calls of being oversensitive or dramatic and my feelings about the experience would be immediately invalidated which led to this set of behavioral rules I started developing around five years old.
