The Shower as a Temple for Aphrodite

🐚 The water is a nod to Her connection to the sea, but also creates peaceful background noise for prayer and meditative thought

🐚 The act of cleansing your hair and body can be done as a ritual in honor of Her. She blessed you with this beautiful form and you are taking care of it properly.

🐚 Make sure to thank Her for any blessings you’ve seen recently during the shower. Today, I expressed gratitude for my newfound ability to find beauty within myself and for the sense of community all women can find with each other.

I’ve always found the shower to be a very meditative place, but adding intention to that is important!

I believe in an Aphrodite that cares for trans women as much as cis women and anyone else with a proclivity for the feminine.

She doesn’t define you by your ability to reproduce. Femininity is much more spiritual and divine than what is measurable by organs and physical characteristics.

☀️ Women whose brand of femininity is like the sun and wildflowers and honeybees. They have warm skin and warmer smiles. Blessed with the eternal optimism to brighten the lives of all those lucky enough to meet them.

🌲 Women whose brand of femininity is like the forest, the feeling of giggling and running barefoot on mossy stones by a deep, hidden creek. They are wide-eyed and grinning, wise and youthful all at once.

💪 Women whose femininity is found in their physical strength, whatever that may look like for their body. Sturdy thighs, broadened calves, arms ready to defend what they value. They cherish their bodies and workout to last rather than to shrink.

☁️ Women whose femininity presents like a cloud on a scalding day. They’re cool and soothe all those around them. Often denim-wearing, big-haired, and soft-voiced.

🕷️ Women whose brand of femininity is that of a spider’s. Mysterious, often misunderstood, but beautiful in appearance and their ability to create. They generally mean no harm and can even become friendly companions.

🧘 Women who find their femininity inside, as some abstract concept. There is no set definition, after all, which is what allows the rest of us to exist as we are.
